The police appeared to have this well in hand as Hau watched lightning flash across the parking lot. Skeletons crumpled beneath gunfire, skulls shattering. The gray-skinned man was changing into… something, Hau wasn’t sure what, but it looked formidable. He decided it was best to hold back, wait and save what he had left for anything that tried to advance on him and the young lady specifically. Behind him, the young lady in question had sunk down into a crouch. He still didn’t know the extent of her injuries and for a moment he was frightened that she might have some sort of malady that was getting worse. Hau nosed her shoulder questioningly as she shuffled through one of her bags.
“Hau… I’m going to use stimulant apon myself and attempt to reset my arm… do you have any need of anything?”
Hau shook his head, felt his brain swirl a bit. He needed a 24-hour long nap and a bucket of chicken and he highly doubted she had either of those things in her purse. What she did have was a vial of some questionable substance, the scent of which very nearly brought his nausea raging back. That was a stimulant? Of what kind? And how on earth would that help her reset her arm? Worried, but unsure how voice it, he whined again softly. Now wasn’t an ideal time for battlefield first aid.
As if to punctuate that thought a roar echoed from the woods, followed by yet two more, and several monstrous undead stormed out of the trees. These were bigger and uglier than the skeletons and they brought with them the rank stench of decay that finally did turn Hau’s gut. He glanced between them, then back at the young lady, not sure where to focus his attention and trying to split it between the two. The police might be able to handle this trio as easily as they had the skeletons, but if they seemed like they needed help, or if any of those brutes decided to stray towards the Charger, Hau was ready.

Stenson dropped the detached, broken arm of a skeleton and let out a snarled breath. His body continued to grow, shoulders broadening to their full width as wings now grew and spread at his sides. Their shape was a combination feathered and webbed, giving his silhouette its signature gargoyle appearance. His hands and feet sported curved black talons and his newly muzzled mouth flashed gleaming fangs. Longer ears lengthened and swiveled in the direction of the louder roars coming from the forest.
With a few more audible snaps and cracks, his spine and tail finished lengthening and soon the rest of his body had also finished its transformation. Where a tall grey-skinned man once stood, there was now a towering winged monster complete with wings, razor sharp taloned feet, and a hunched, muscular frame. In his true form, Stenson's pants and tank top now hung from his body in stretched and shredded tatters. As the gorilla-like undead roared and barreled towards them, Stenson let out a barking roar of his own before charging to meet one of them heads on. With one shoulder lowered, wing folded, he slammed into the thing to try and shove it backwards and off its feet. The stench was incredible, and even as he pushed with all his might he couldn't help but choke against the smell with a snarled gag. His lips peeled back to reveal black gums and glistening white fangs in a monstrous "yuck"-face.
Behind him, the other officers continued to open fire on the oncoming monstrosities. Jay let loose another bolt, aimed at the hulking beast not currently targeted by Stenson. Keeping light on his feet, Jay struck the thing with one blade of electricity by another, hoping to draw it away from the cars with the distracting bright flashes. He wasn't entirely sure if the electricity itself would affect the undead, but it didn't hurt to try. "OI! Great blundering oafs! This way, mates!" He shouted, a wild grin on his face despite the mounting danger. He sprinted around to keep from putting himself in line with the thing's charge while still attempting to blind it.
One female officer paused in her gunfire, looking sideways at the blue fox and small woman. She gasped at the sight of the woman, immediately holstering her gun before throwing open one of the car doors. She half-dove into the driver's side and dug around under the passenger seat before producing a large white box with a red cross plastered on the top. Once she had it, she withdrew and hurried to the aid of the two supers.
"Hey! Here! You're hurt, let me see. I have an aid kit." She panted, opening the box to reveal a vast array of first aid, even including a rough stint with wrap and gauze, alcohol, stitching supplies, and other more advanced tools and material. "Broken?" She asked, looking over the arm.

zavijah:
with how she held the small vial, she uncorked it with two fingers, used her pinky to collect a small amount before recorking it and placing the vial back in its place, before rubbing the small amount that was on her pinky onto the back of her neck. . . she felt Hau nudge her with his nose as she felt and heard him whining at her. she glanced over at the artic aurora blue fox as she made sure what was on her pinky was completely rubbed onto her neck. . . she sighed before gently placing her left hand on his head. . " it will be alright. . . .she did not see him shake his head- the nose but not the head- . . . . . he did not seem keen apon acquiring some either, seeing he made no movement towards the bottle. . . perhaps he did not wish to use such. . he might not need it. . .so what caused Hau's heart to pound so heavily yet for his body to act so lethargic?
" perhaps some rations instead. . . you will need to eat at least. " she replied. . . she first adjusted her arm where she secured her right hand under her foot before she reached into her butt purse and pulled out a cloth. . . within it, some deer jerky. . . before placing it on the under part of the lid of her med kit so he can have access to it. . . .
her head snapped towards the roaring match between the large skeletal beings and . . Stenson? . . . .whatever he had shifted into, its progressed into a far more animalistic form. . . wings, tail, spines as long or longer then her arms. . .he seemed to have grown much taller then his human form. . . . when he and one of the three skeletal beings clashed, some bits of bone and decayed flesh seemed to have flown up but it acted rather unfazed. . . the shoulder he clashed with Stenson's also did not seem too damaged by the initial clash. . . although Stenson used his wing to thrust the undead off balance, it did not seem to stop it from swinging its large closed fists at Stenson, just both as an attempt to hit the officer as well as correct the sudden backward motion threatening to throw the creature onto its back. . . .
then there was the smell. . . . from what she could tell, it seemed as there were parts present that have rotted for different sets of days. . . she could not tell from which one but one or more of them seemed to have at least parts from beings whomed died at different days and times. . . .all she could guess was it might be from the one that seemed to be forced together. . . though she could be simply wrong and it could be the from one of the others. . . the things you recognize from years of treading through hell. . .
what made her jump though was the storm weaver's power when one of them seemed to snarl and tread closer and closer towards where they were before a flash of lighting ripped between them and the creature. . . leading with the sides of its head rather then looking onward. . . she really did not want to be struck by lighting again. . . watching the creature. . .
this thing was blind. . . but it could hear well? or at least sense them with whatever the large and bubble like masses were that were on either side of its head- they looked as though they could burst and puss would spew like blood from the large bubble like masses. . . .although it did not seem to react to the light. . . it did seem to snarl at the sound of lighting crackling and popping in front of it and behind it as did the other one. . . . . they seemed to look around for the cause of this until Jay called out to them . . . .she cringed as the both of them roared before charging in an blood thirsty and enraged charge at the officer. . . .both of them pounded at the ground where they thought he stood. . . .missing of course seeing that the creatures seem to react to sound more then light. . .
if anything, she dare suspects they react to vocal sounds from living things. . . . . made sense when they did not seem to react as violently to the clattering of glass or the soft whining from Hau- all buried under the large amounts of gun fire, screaming and bone clattering. . . . .perhaps they were unsure. . . she then noticed her heart beating harder and the feeling of 'awakeness' was becoming more prominent. . . no time to waste. . . she prepared to set the arm and adjusted her weight so it would be a simple upward force while bracing her shoulder so she doesn't pop it out of-
"Hey!"
CRACK
she jolted abit when a female officer called to them as she approached. . . "Here! You're hurt, let me see. I have an aid kit." the woman huffed. . . she stood up abit on her arm before carefully lowering herself. . . earning more cracks from the sudden pull. . .this woman was loud. . . "Broken?" the woman asked indicating her arm. . .zavijah merely nodded before her head snapped towards the two Jay was distracting. . . one of them took notice to the 'hey' as well. . . as it snarled at the three. . .it turned towards them as if it was preparing to charge. though the lighting seemed to cause it to grow confused sound wise. . . it seemed fairly sure of a 'hey' from the general direction, but it seemed to prepare to charge as it tried to zero in on exactly where that voice came from. . . .
should it attack, and assuming the officer does not move while she and Hau move. . . . the officer will either dodge unwillingly away from the attacks or die painfully slowly as either the fox talisman whisks her about or as the rabbit talisman slowly healed her as the undead pounds her into the earth. . . .
she did not want to see the woman further into harms way. . . .she did not want to see any of them in harms way. . . .
why didn't she opt to go alone? then it would of only been her own life at stake. . . .it was her fault they were all in danger. . . .
---------------------------------------------------------- so far . . his larger of summoned undead seemed to have kept the group occupied enough. . . what was even better- one of his undead had finally found his gun and case. . . . with alittle magic, he expelled all of the water and mud out of the two . . . good as new. . . he was also brought a pistol? . . . not his preference. . . though it might serve as a adequate trophy if he succeeds. . . .he was not sure if the gray officer had lost his gun or not, but someone did. . .and he has it now. . .
he merely pocketed it and started to riffle through his case and grab bullets to load his gun. . . his rifle. . . he honestly did not feel the need to rush. . .considering that the group seems to be over their head. . . . maybe while the gray creature that was the officer is occupied, perhaps during his little 'shift' he lost whatever was making the bullets rip around in an unnatural manner. . . seeing it appears as though the officer was hit at one point, even he can see the large scar on its arm . . . so there is a way to land a hit on the large spiky bastard. . . .
question is will he need to be up and personal? or can he settle with being nested far away from the damn building deco reject? though if he was captured as well as the half bloods. . .sure the boss would have no use for him. . . .there might be someone willing to pay for a roof ornament. . . assuming he doesnt take the officer's head as a personal trophy for shooting him in the head. . . ----------------------------------------
Abby and the young man continued to creep around before taking cover behind one of the trees. . . where they could see the group abit more clearer. . . "whos the group on the ground? " she asked. "no idea. . . probably some sorry brat and their unfortunately tye-dyed colored mutt. " he replied. " honestly, what kind of asshole dyes their dog ridiculous colors? " "not the time. " she groused. " I'm sorry, last I checked, I didn't call the cops on our own." he hissed. " if I called the special cops that go after supernatural beings and what not, that would be alot more telling then just calling the cops. . .at least by just calling the cops, there's plausible deniability and it eludes to the idea that the caller is unaware the supernatural police exist. " she pointed out.

"Perhaps some rations instead. . . you will need to eat at least."
Hau dragged his focus away from the fight to see the young lady pull a small cloth bundle out of her bag and set it down on the med kit’s lid. Now was really not the time to be having a snack, he fretted. But then the fabric fell away and the scent of jerky hit his nose. For a second it was all he could smell, those lurching undead monstrosities may not even have existed right then, and his thoughts made an abrupt u-turn. He tried to recall when he last ate and couldn’t, his shift at the café felt like it had been months ago.
Well, maybe just a little bit to eat.
He dove into the deer jerky hungrily, forcing himself not to wolf it all down in one bite so he didn’t choke. As he gnawed through the tough meat, he kept his attention close on the fighting just a short distance away. The gray-skinned man’s draconic final form was even bigger than Hau had guessed, and it looked like he was going toe-to-toe with one of the enormous brutes. The police were throwing everything they had at these three, but it was hard to tell yet if they were having any effect.
"Hey!"
CRACK
Hau’s head immediately whipped around towards the young lady, the last piece of jerky still sticking out of his mouth forgotten for the moment. The sound of her resetting her arm, it was grating and painful just to hear, but she hadn’t made a noise. He briefly considered changing back, just because he could be of more help with a voice and opposable thumbs, but he’d be no use in a fight as a human.
He perked up, however, as he noticed the female officer scurrying over to them. Then his gaze trailed up behind her to the hulking beast that was also turned in their direction. Did it see them? It didn’t appear to have eyes, but it certainly seemed to sense them somehow. However it did, Hau wasn’t comfortable with it facing them at all. A growl rolled up from his throat, muffled a little by what was left of his snack.
As opposed to the skeletons and his attackers in the ravine, here he could use the full extent of his ability without having to worry about consequences. He’d learned a long time ago that water wasn’t the only thing he could work with, even though it was the easiest. And these things were constructed of wet mud and moist rotting flesh, both of which he could freeze through if he tried hard enough.
While the monster was still motionless and torn in indecision between them and the rest of the battle, Hau reached out and encased its head in slick ice. This may not be as effective as he hoped, considering this thing may not even need it to function, but it seemed the most practical target. He let the cold sink in and through the meat of its head, freezing every sliver of moisture there. He’d keep pushing until it was nothing but a block of useless ice propped on those gorilla-like shoulders. As he did so, he felt his muscles tense with the strain, his teeth clicking shut as the last of the jerky in his jaws snapped in half.

The female officer quickly withdrew a roll of gauze, ACE wrap, and stint. With Zavijah's cooperation, she would offer to assist with securing and then wrapping Zavijah's broken limb using the supplies she had. It wouldn't be perfect, but it would hold well enough until the girl could see an actual doctor. At the sound of the beast making its way towards them, the officer looked nervously in its direction and took note of its blinded appearance. It must've heard her when she'd called out! She ducked back down to quicken her work on the girls arm, wanting to whisper words of encouragement but holding her tongue in case the monster's hearing was strong enough to catch the sound.
The other officers continued in their struggle to hold off the advancing undead, some reloading while others took over to provide cover fire. One ducked down to reload his shotgun, pushing two new rounds into the gun before looking up and spotting the now-freezing creature that had been headed in the direction of the blue fox and the girl. The officer took the creature's appearance in with a single up and down glance, narrowed in on the bulbous things on its head and took aim. Whether they were eyes, or not, he could make the best guess that those were its sensory organs.
[If Hau's freezing doesn't kill the thing, then this guy rolled a 19 to hit it lol]
Stenson roared, pushing further against the monster before him the moment its balance began to falter. As the creature staggered, it threw a thick, muddy fist towards him and Stenson felt it collide against his jaw with a meaty thud. The putrid mud immediately ravaged Stenson's nose as he pulled his head back from the hit. Grey lips peeled back across white fangs in another angry snarl as Stenson opened his own clawed hand to swing at the creature's head. His talons hooked towards the bulbs, aiming to slash them open in hopes that they might be somewhat important. Eyes, ears, or anything in between would be a win-win.
Jay bounded behind Stenson and his opponent, still shouting to draw the attention of the remaining monstrosity. When it was well out of the way of the others, Jay would turn on his heel and let loose a larger bolt aimed at the creature's core. His eyes flashed a brilliant blue-green as the electrical energy surged forth through his arms, out of his hands, and towards the creature in a thick blade of jagged white light. The resounding BOOOOM that followed lasted only a split second and echoed through the mountains in a roll of shallow thunder.

zavijah:
hesitantly, she let the officer tend to her arm . . removing her foot from her hand as the officer set to bracing it with a strange splint of sorts and binding it with bandages. . . she was tempted to push her away- until Hau did something that caused the creature to start acting frantically. . . it became belligerent. . it was genius and ballsy. . . the creature began foaming at the mouth as the ice crackled and formed apon and within its flesh. . . the sounds of taut flesh ripping and tearing a parts pop and froze and expand and contracted as it struggled and twitched from the blaze of artic fire ripping through its undead sensory organs. . . . .
it charged in a sporadic and uneven manner. . . had nothing happened to it, it would of been fine. . . as it pounded the ground in desperate attempts to do something as it charged the went in one random direction, before another before it ran into the large sitting stone near Stenson's 'car'. . .when it bumped into it, it in a rage began to pound on the stone as pus leaked out exposing a blakened human heart beating within its skull cavity . . .since the ice sloughed off one of the bulbous sides when the pus began to leak and spill out. . . . its 'heart' strained to beat as more ice seeped deeper and deeper into the inner cavities of its skull, it was dying off. . . slowly. . . what ended it and kept it from potentially turning back towards the three was a decisive bullet through its head. . . ripping through the weakened skull since the water expanding within the bone caused fractures to form from pressure bellowing from unintended directions. . . shattering its heart and brain, the explosion of decayed mass caught mid burst from the forming ice. . . . pus pouring out like a melting slushie mix. enticing zavijah to use the food cloth she had stored some of her rations in to cover the insides of the medical kit of hers. . . it was a good enough hide to protect it in case it gets. . . .messier. . .
causing the creature to die rigid as it bulked and slumped over the now pile of much smaller stone. . . .if she wasn't currently being deafened and overwhelmed by the sheer amount of noises and how loud they were, she would congratulate Hau the shifter- the Frost Weaver. again, she was impressed with the quick thinking of Hau disorienting the creature. . and killing it. . . he definitely needs more rations after such. . . in her mind, he seemed to have both exerted even more energy, and very well earned such if she held such a demand. . . some warriors do while some are similar to her. . . besides, he seemed to have enjoyed them well enough. . . which made her happy as little as that mattered in the current situation . . . . . he was eating which did matter. . he did need the food. . . .she could not deny the temptation to pet Hau's head was strong, especially having done well against an opponent he might of never faced before, perhaps it was due to blood loss and that he had a fox form. . . .food should suffice. . . . . .hopefully. . . its the rest of her meat reserves on hand.
zavijah, herself cringed at the many booms and other variously LOUD concussive sounds. . . what made her nearly jump out of his skin was the bolt of silver lighting that ripped across the battle field. . . she was not afraid, but was definitely not a fan of being electrocuted again. . she had nearly re-injured her arm and unset it from the sudden jolt. . . she wishes she can cover her ears. . . as loud as it was. . . . even with her ear plugs, they did nothing for her in such thunderous sounds, especially when Jay's attack just about caused the bulbous organs on both sides of its head to explode and splatter anything or one close enough with the discharge that filled its skull cavity. . . its heart and brain nearly popping like ballons, the spectacle going off in an explosion of pus and electricity and charred bits of rotten flesh. . adding cooked rotten flesh to the mix of questionable smells in the air. . . .she noted the raking of claws Stenson had did at the one he was facing. . .another of the large and undead. . . when his claws sunk juuust deep enough, he was splattered with fluidly yellow and green discharge. . . like a wet large zit shooting him, or a braking a spigot off a mead barrel. the rancid almost mucus like taint nearly painting the officer in yellow and green rot.
it too, began to snarl even more in a belligerent rampage, as it struck the ground to throw itself back at the gargoyle and moved to strike him with hardened fists. but as it too, became more feral in behavior- as impossible as that might seem. . . . it also seemed to grow more disoriented and . . . . .blind. . . as it was beginning to miss more and more as it made more and more desperate attempts to beat the officer down into a pulp. she felt a twist in her gut as she watched this. . . pulling out more jerky for Hau to regain his strength, and placing the new cloth of deer jerkies on the underside of the lid where she had placed the first one . . . before glancing back at her arm as the female officer continued to work on further fortifying her arm with bandages. . .ducking as if she did not want to be hit. . .
wait a moment. . .
. . . . she counted 5. . . not inducing Stenson and Hau. . . Oh God, she missed one. . . but did she give this officer a talisman? . . . she did not exactly remember which officer she gave what talisman, outside of having given Stenson an Ox talisman. . . and Hau the last turtle talisman she had on hand. . . who had she forsaken? Granted, she well understood that these people had perhaps plenty of battles before she had stepped foot and encounter Sara for the first time in resent history. . . but . .
as dead set as she is on all of them not dying, especially on her behalf. . . .blood loss and disorientation due to her soul being battered and beaten was not an excuse in her mind. not for her. . . . " . . . did . . . did I give you a talisman? " she asked the officer.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- while all of this was going on, he whistled as he saw the display of lighting and flesh and pus explode in a fantastical spray on the officers firing at his pawns as well as whomever else as he finished cleaning his rifle and loaded it. . . . it did a good job of following the little energetic mark as much as it could. . . not smart enough to not get lead into a area where it was not close enough to anyone else for the lighting user to fear hitting other people. . . . but just enough to understand it wants and needs to murder the everliving daylights out of noisy things. it at first the gray monstrosity that had taken on one of the more built pawns head on . . . . his bullet may or may not hit. . . but if he can get the bastard to get closer. . . . he fired his rifle. . .causing the shield to flicker around the gray officer as the bullet was 'caught' and ripped around his body before it tak'd harmlessly into the earth. . . having avoided the new larger features flawlessly. . . not that the would be assassin knew of this. . . . just that well. . . .whatever it was . . . its still there as annoying as it was. . .
so he turned his gun on the other officers. . . . . still hiding on the rest of the amassed undead and mud. . . . . the hulking figure. . . . when an idea came to mind and had it slowly lumber even closer. . . time for the larger of his toys to play. . . .

Despite what he hoped was an outward air of positivity, Hau’s brain always seemed to be stuck in overdrive when it came to imagining the worst possible outcomes of any situation. Some people might consider that pessimism, but he liked to think of it as being prepared. So he wasn’t altogether surprised when the undead he was attacking didn’t lie down and die quietly, but charged in the direction of the car. Expecting it still didn’t stop a surge of panic from sweeping through him. It took a great deal of effort, but he kept his concentration and clamped down on the urge to leap out of the way as the beast careened by, only to crash into a sizeable boulder instead.
When the gunshot shattered its weakened skull, he finally felt safe to relax. Almost immediately, a wave of weakness shivered through him. His back legs folded and his butt hit the ground in an awkward sit. This was probably more than the drugs now, he suspected. He had used his abilities more today than at any time in his life. Before coming to Wathais, the most he’d done was keep everything in his moms’ fridge from thawing when they lost power. And this was nothing like refreezing a steak. Maybe it was time to actually consider practice.
He hauled himself back to his feet and found that even locking his legs didn’t alleviate the tremble this time. Regardless, he glanced over the battle, searching for any other immediate threats. The other two hulking undead seemed to be well dealt with, based on the sheer amount of soupy pus and decay gushing out of one and the extensive patches of blackened flesh on the other. If there was going to be any chance for Hau to help, it would be when the one opposite the gargoyle finally paused long enough in its tantrum for him to get a hold of it with his ice. But that didn’t look too likely.
Behind him, the young lady cringed, even more distressed by all the noise. His own ears were pinned back and yet the roar of the gunfire and thunder was overwhelming. There was nothing Hau could do to help her though, even as she pulled more jerky out of her bag for him, and he felt guilty for devouring her rations. His stomach was still gurgling uneasily. More in hunger, he hoped, than as a result of the intense reek of these monsters. So he grabbed an extra piece of the deer meat and moved so he was more between the young lady and the female cop and the fighting, keeping his eyes peeled for another attack as he ate.

Stenson's claws collided with the undead's head with a satisfying crunch, although it earned him quite a revolting shower of putrid mess in return. The fluids came at the gargoyle's face, causing Stenson to step back from the undying thing as it raged on. Some went on Stenson's raised arms and hands, protecting his eyes and mouth, although he still hacked and gagged at the smell.
Still, there was a job to complete. Stenson swallowed back another choking gag, straightened and came at the monster again with renewed vigor. Now that he'd damaged what seemed to be an important part of the beast, he would just need to incapacitate it. With a twist of his torso, Stenson swung one broad wing low, aiming to strike across the beast's knees. He hoped to either break, or even sever, the thing's legs at the knees and keep it from trying to charge blindly in any direction.
In his concentration to attack the undead, the stealth shot that pinged off Stenson's shield went mostly unnoticed. With everything going on, he quickly dismissed it as a possible stray bolt of electricity from Jay, or stray bullet from one of the officers (although he sincerely hoped it wasn't the latter. The last thing he wanted was to know there was an officer who was prone to friendly fire...)

zavijah:
she grimaced when it did not seem the officer was keen on answering her. . .perhaps abit too focused on mending her arm. . . she glanced onward towards the battle as she found herself worrying. . . she cant help it. . . there was a chance she had forsaken one of them, the potentiality of her offering something useful in aid of them in this battle they had been practically dragged into and she had nothing. . . she did not sense the small fraction of her aura from the woman as she did with the others whom she had given talismans too. . .
there was the chance she has indeed, forsaken this woman. . . this saddened her deeply. . . she felt guilty. . . this woman who rushed to try and aid them, and what has she done in turn? she felt guilty that they were all practically dragged into this and guiltier that she had nothing for one of them when it came to this battle. . . something told her this woman, but she was not sure. . . . too much blood lost. . her focus was too haggard from the spiritual thrashing . . . then the assault of the 'calling' . . she still cringed from the constant loud booms and flinched from the sudden flash of storm energy from officer Jay (really keen on not being electrocuted again and storm weaver energy was unpredictable in its own right already). . then Hau moving infront of her and the officer as though to protect them. . . while eating more Jerky. . . .she quietly wondered if they were to be shot at, if the shaftless arrow would rip around Hau and hit her or the officer . . . perhaps. . . hopefully they would not call attention to themselves. . .
a short lived notion as more skeletons were sent out against them. . . as well as yet another of the large beasts that Hau had froze the head of and Jay blew the head up of with his energy. . .
she felt useless. . . . . all of these undead creatures and she was too weak. . . .her arm broken, her leg bruised, and her soul thrashed and thoroughly beaten. . . then a thought occurred to her. . . .perhaps if she could- no. . a fools errand. . . she cant trust herself to react fast enough to avoid any unwanted bodies or souls from being sucked in or released if she opened a portal to hell to ensnare the danger that threatened them now. . . that and the souls tethered to the one puppeting them. . . it sickened her and disgusted her how not only that they were tethered to him like tools or weapons, but how they were so. . . an extension of their own soul acting as the line while his own seemed to grasped onto it like a bear trap or a meat hook. . . staying still for too long, she can no longer drown their voices out anymore since they had only grown louder. . . . some of them were angry. . . . enraged. . some of them were in absolute agony. . . some of them were scared. . . terrified . . . and some of them seemed to sound and act as though they were guilty. . . begging and pleading for release or for the officers to run away. . . unwanting of what they were being forced to do and yet without any control of their very soul. . . constantly shoved into rotting wretched bodies of only God knows what just to experience death again and be forced back into the same reoccurring nightmare. . . to be forced to feel every single painful act against as if they were alive and killed just to be forced into yet another prison to unwillingly charge forth against those and either take the life of another or be killed yet again. . . this was painfully similar to the Leshy, if she was being honest. . .
zavijah could not hide the utter disgust and anger for the one responsible for this. . . then she noticed the flash of fire from where that aura was. . . before noticing the mass was lurching forward. . . "Hark, the one who controls them closes distance with you!" she called out to the officers. . .

while stenson moved to break or cut the legs of the undead brute off. . . because of the nature of the bones and soft tissue, he would find his wing to somewhat snag onto the flesh as some of it was severed while some of it. . . did not cut. . . the bones cracked and broke being shattered in the direction the knee was not meant to bend in. . .however the bring suddenly moved to grab onto the officer. . . . grabbing onto an arm and grabbing for a shoulder as it slowly continued to die. . . stubbornly, it curled its rubbery wet features as it growled. . .its movements seemed less and less fluent and more jarring. . .jerky and convulsive. . .it was dying, its heart was having trouble pumping while the arteries and veins struggled to hold itself up now that it was no longer suspended in the putrid substance. . . .it was at risk of a cardiac arrest if blood circulation was interrupted. .
a shadow would slowly appear overhead. . . the large mass was very slow. . . as it was rearing an arm up to try and slam the collective amounts of mud and bodies against the officer. . . if not to harm or kill, to attempt to immobilize. . . however as it further reared its large fist like mass further and further up in the air and behind itself, the shadow would seem to fall away from the officer. . .
the would be assassin moved on to shooting at the other officers. . . . if the larger puppet can kill or immobilize the gray one. . .then the others surely would be easy pickings. . .

Hau didn’t have to wait long before another collection of undead poured forth. More skeletons and another of those huge meat-headed monsters, he spotted the undergrowth shaking just before it surged into sight. And there was something else lurking behind them, something huge. He couldn’t see it all that well from here with it silhouetted against the dark sky.
"Hark, the one who controls them closes distance with you!"
No! She’d draw the attention of the gorilla-like creature! If the one before had been attracted by the cop’s call, this one would come right for them. Immediately, Hau reached out for it, trying to seize it with his ice in a repeat of what he had done before. If he could freeze those bulbous growths on its head maybe he could disorient it at least… But he couldn’t get a grip on the thing. Something about its uneven lurching gait made it too hard for him to hit.
Thinking quick, Hau darted away from young woman and the cop, barking furiously. What he called a bark didn’t sound so much like what you’d hear from a regular dog - it was a rough, almost roaring sound - but it was loud and it carried. It would surely distract the hulking beast. He glanced behind himself, making sure that if the undead abomination rushed him it would only be throwing itself back into the woods and not towards the cars, and glimpsed a sizeable tree back there.
With a flash of inspiration, he placed his ice there instead, forming a spike that jutted out towards the battlefield. No time to make anything big, or place it where it might hit something vital, he only hoped the creature ran into it in the first place. If the thing took his bait and charged at all. And as soon as he saw the monster start lumbering in his direction he was ready to jump out of the way. If there was one thing Hau could do well, he could move fast.

Stenson felt his wing connect, perhaps not cutting all the way through as he'd hoped, but striking hard enough to crack and damage most of the thing's legs and knees. A muddy hand flailed forward, grabbing hold of Stenson's arm in it's dying attempt to continue it's attacks. Stenson returned the grip, aknowledging the agonized screams it emitted as it continued to assault the gargoyle despite its body rapidly failing. Stenson felt a pull of sympathy for the thing, knowing it probably couldn't help what it was doing. The agonized bellows were enough to make Stenson pity it, and he wanted more than anything to put it out of its misery as quickly as possible. Its head had already sustained plenty of damage, so the end couldn't be too far off. Stenson pulled it forward, his own clawed arm pulling back for another blow. His aim was to knock it hard enough across the head again to hopefully end its struggling body. With a determined furrow of his brows, Stenson swung his arm as hard as he could, claws splayed to rake into the vulnerable head organs. He felt his palm collide first, followed by the wet squish of its bulbous head as his claws sank deep into the muddy flesh. The strike was true, and soon the lumbering monstrosity was collapsed at Stenson's feet, twitching but dead.
Without wasting time, Stenson turned towards the police officers to see how they were doing. Already, a new wave of skeletons were pouring forth from the woods, and Stenson grunted in frustration. How many were there??
Suddenly, one of the officers pointed at the woods. His face held an expression of terror and awe, followed by a twist of pain as something struck him in the chest. A single point on his uniform puffed inward, marking the site of a bullet hole. Stenson's own face twisted in a snarl of rage as the officer went down, falling backward and away from his comrades. The gargoyle was at least quick to recognize that the young man had been wearing a bulletproof vest which hopefully mitigated most of the damage, but his anger still flared nonetheless. A series of distant pops drew his attention towards the woods, and Stenson pinpointed two things almost immediately. The flash of a gun barrel from some far off sniper, and a towering mass that blotted out the moonlight for a moment as it swung in a large arc as if to punch the earth itself. Except, they were the targets... Stenson opened his jaws in a bellowing roar before dropping to all fours in a lopsided gallop. His back legs kicked him forward and then up as his wings spread in take-off. As the massive arm reached the peak of its swing, Stenson soared towards it in hopes of stopping any momentum it hoped to build in its downward swing. His claws were splayed and ready to grab hold of the limb, while also drawing on the Ox around his neck to try and give his own counter attack a little more force.

zavijah:
she snapped her head as Hau ran off before barking loudly, before watching as another of the large and grotesque like gorilla monstrosities charged at the shifter. . . she watch the shifter lead it towards a pike he formed before as expected, the monstrous brute rammed into the spike. . . its leg had became snagged onto the thing as it suddenly jolted from being pulled back by it. . . it began angrily flailing and beating the ever-living hell out of anything within its reach. . . trying to beat down what it can hit. . . trees. . .rocks. . . . flesh. . .anything that wasn't its own body. . . all while it snarled and raged at the surrounding area. . .she grimaced he ran off . . . . .before taking note of the two auras that were not too far off from Hau. . . they were living. . .she moved to close the medical kit and set it away, before forcing herself back onto her feet. . . "there are two more within the woods near Hau. . . " she noted. she strained to hear past all of the gun fire, the bellowing, the yelling, the shattering of bone, ripping of flesh, the splattering of blood and other humors, and the wailing screams of the souls being forced to continue fighting against their will. . . looking at the auras. . . they seemed to move as if they were stalking prey. . . ". . . .they might be reinforcements to the one opposing us. . . " she continued.
too loud. . . too noisy. . . her trying to warn the other of the one behind all of this had caused Hau to run away to lure the brutish monstrosity away. . . . not to mention they did not seem to notice outside of Hau panicking from her calling attention to them. . .
she did not like the idea that Hau is now in alot of danger thanks to her. . . . .she glanced towards the battle when she notice one of the officers go down. . .her eyes grew wide. . .though he lived? . . . meanwhile another officer seemed to turned their aim up towards the sniper. . . the downed one did. . . not die? . . . perhaps was dying. . .did he have a talisman? . . .every single one of the ones present here, she had forsaken when she asked for Stenson to take her to one of the sites where the body was found. . . . then there was the two new auras. . . . how long were they present? . . . how many more are there? . . . she took to looking around, behind the battle and where the others could potentially be ambushed by potential opponent . . .her eyes narrowed when she saw more auras. . . before carefully counting them out considering she already had miscounted prior. . . from what she could tell, there were at least 8 more auras. . . . she then glanced over to see where the officers where. . . and if the one who bound her arm was still there. . . . .she needs to figure out who she had forsaken. . . . whom was the one she gave no aid to? . . .
then there's Hau, who ran into the woods. . . .sure he has a protection talisman on him. . . but he was still in danger. . . .she remembers Stenson calling apon Officer Jay to protect them as well as 'have his back' . . .though seeing that the officer was in the fray. . . his hands might be tied. . .but she needs to warn one of them. . . so they can pass the message to each other. . she has seen Stenson use the noisy black box on his tunic before. . . shes heard other voices from it before. . . if the female officer who splinted her arm was still near her, assuming she had not moved on. . she would warn that there are 8 more approaching them from the valley of stone. . .the city-state. otherwise, zavijah will limp to the nearest officer and warn them of the oncoming 8, as well as the two near Hau . . .and that he is in trouble, she fears. . . .
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- as Stenson collided with the 'elbow' of the large amassed mess of mud, it forced the thing's arm up and interrupted the attack . . though there was something very unsettling that Stenson would soon discover apon touching it. . . . although his claws might sink into the mud abit. . he would feel corpse . . .bone. . . wood. . a back and side, ribs, an arm and hand. . . before a skull emerged from the mud as if to look at him. . .
just inches away from his muzzle. . .then another. . then another with decayed flesh still attached to the face. . . . . before it seemed as though the surface began to bubble up more faces and bodies near him. . .some of which moved to try and grab him. . . as the hand and forearm of the large mass melded and merged into its 'back'. . . some of the emerging had some what of a semblance of functioning wind pipes and vocal cords as some gurgled, some were soundless, and some groaned. as more and more hands slowly reached for the officer.
should the officer look towards the sniper. . . . he might notice that the bullets that hit him from whichever officer was shooting at him, were bouncing off of him. . .granted, it did look like some of the bullets were causing him to jerk back. . . but nothing else. . . no blood, no bruising. it was as if they were shooting rubber bullets at the bastard. . .
except they were not. . . .
he might also notice strange matching tattoos on either wrist. . . they looked very tribal, almost like they had purpose. . .as if there were unnatural in nature- well, more so then a tattoo is already.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
meanwhile, because zavijah had called out, the two- abby and the young man who was present to initially capture Hau, returned abit towards the battle field and have seen the halfblood. . . as short as it was, limping around. . . . . theres one. . .but Abby couldn't see Hau. . . in his human or that other form. . . . nor did they know that the enraged snarling and slamming around was due to Hau leading one of the brutish undead into a snare trap. . . though the young man was curious to see who was it chasing. and or murdering. . .and if he can loot it once the undead was done. . . if it was a cop, the badge might be beaten to uselessness and so would the gun. . .but the ammunition might still be salvageable, and then theres the money. . . cards. . . . things they can use to further their means. . .

Hau threw himself out of the path of the gorilla undead as it charged, feeling the breeze whip through his fur. He landed less than gracefully just outside its reach, long legs tangling in each other, but he managed to splay them awkwardly and stay upright. Whipping his head around, he was just in time to see the beast crash headlong into the tree he had armed. The spike of ice pierced it right through the rotten meat of its thigh. It flailed and bellowed its rage, but remained pinned.
Now it was an easy matter to capture it with his abilities. This time he coated those strange bulbous ears with frost first, the membranes so thin they were especially easy targets. Then he rushed to freeze the rest of its head, knowing the battle was still raging on behind his back. Distantly, he could feel his heart pounding away in his chest, could feel the shivering of muscles drawn too tight. He watched the undead's skull cave in just as the other one's had done. When he could see the beating black heart at the core of it and the monstrosity's fighting faded into the feeble thrashing of the dying he let it go, trusting it to expire on its own. Or at least stay put and not cause any more trouble.
As soon as he released it he dropped to his belly, gasping for breath. His head ached in warning, the pain beating in time with his pulse. There wasn’t time to take a break though. He risked one more glimpse at the rest of the battle and the grotesque undead giant and immediately felt overwhelmed at just looking at it. How could they defeat that thing? Briefly, he considered joining in the fight but quickly scrapped the idea. He’d already agreed to stay by the car and he was too far away as it was. He needed to head back to the young lady.
Hau gathered himself up and was just turning in her direction when his eyes caught on some movement further out in the woods. Hesitating, he scented the air but only got a nose full of the choking scent of decomposition. His ears, however, caught on the slight sound of something more. Maybe it was just an animal, somehow not scared off by the chaos of the fight. Or maybe it was something else, something dangerous. He growled softly. Unwilling to take his eyes off of whatever it was, he backed unsteadily towards the Charger, splitting his attention between the trees and the gargantuan undead that was engaging with the police and the gray-skinned man-turned-gargoyle.

Stenson let out a bark of surprise as his claws and hands sunk into the muddy flesh of the giant arm only to have dozens of rotting limbs reach out towards him to begin grasping and grabbing back at him. Most got hold of his limbs, some reached for his beating wings, and a few swiped and clawed at his torso and face. Individually, he would've easily managed to escape their grasp, but together they were beginning to effectively trap him against the giant arm. A skull-like face surfaced just before his muzzle and seemed to grin up at him with a lipless, toothy maw. Stenson was helpless to look at it as the giant arm began to merge into the thing's back. He tore his eyes from the floating body parts and glimpsed a figure atop what could only be the things head, or at least it had some semblance of a head. It had tattooed wrists, and Stenson could plainly see the rifle in the man's grip. Stenson bared white fangs and felt a renewed determination shoot through him as he wrenched his arms and torso away from the grasping limbs. Drawing once more from the ox talisman, Stenson kicked off of the muddy arm in an attempt to jump-climb his way up the side of the creature.
On the ground, Jay had already noticed the enormous monstrosity and was already in a dead sprint away from the cruisers before he called up to Stenson.
"Jones! Brace yourself! Incoming buzz!" He shouted, electricity dancing across his hands and arms. Throwing both hands forward as if in a pushing motion, the lightning shot from his palms up at the beast before spider-webbing out across its body. Stenson, thankfully, was relatively resilient against the electricity. He grit his teeth against the stinging blue energy as it passed through him.

zavijah:
she crouched over her medical kit before packing it up, keeping the vial of the poison she had sought to use to hold her bone in place and having it in her right hand, hidden within the sling the one officer had placed on her to secure her arm to . . before placing the rest of it within her butt purse . . . she then started to head towards one of the officers. . . the one who mended her wounds seems too busy- in fact she seemed very focused on shooting upwards at the one shooting at them. . . .she did not seem to have heard her . . . she needed to warn one of them. . . .she limped towards another of the officers before patting their shoulder, just as he was reloading. . . "what" he seemed to grouse. before she pointed towards the area behind them. "Hau is in danger, and there are 10 whom approach from behind. . . I believe they seek to attempt to ambush you as well as the others. for they lurk in the shadows of the night." she stated.
how the officer would react to this or how he would warn the others, she knows not. . . . hopefully with the strange black boxes on their garbs. . . Hau. . . she needs to go help Hau. . . so she started to limp away towards where she could see his aura. . . before noticing his butt seem to exit the treeline. . . he was backing away from something. . . she frowned. . . it did not seem like the two other auras seemed to have noticed him. . .but she can see the eyes of one of them afixed to her. . . they see her. . . she jolted when in her peripheral vision, she saw an sudden explosion of storm energy explode from the ground- from officer Jay. . .
she might of considered going to him to warn him of this if it were not for the constant threat of electrocution while he fought as well as the fact that he was aiding Stenson at the moment deal with the ungodly monstrosity. . . the ground he walked on near him might be charged. . . a landmine of death for her should she be careless, especially considering it was wet. . . . and shes barefooted. . . .
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
as the mud monster seemed to be stuck in its position while the bodies within it spazzed and shook violently from electricity ripping through it, the would be assassin tsked as the lighting magic interrupted his own magic. . . he would have to wait to regain control while his thralls were tearing themselves apart and what not within the puppet. . . both from cannibalism and the lighting itself causing their bodies to tear apart from the undead muscle and nervous systems no longer working in sync at all whether as earlier it was just enough to control them.
the skeletons that were running amok were not replaced when they were shot down, nor were the more brutish monstrosities while the amassed monstrosity was alight with electricity. . . the would be assassin, seemed more unamused and annoyed at the officer, aiming his gun at Officer Jay in particular before firing his rifle at the electric officer. . .unknown to the would be assassin, this officer had a fox talisman. . .
--------------------------------------------------------
"there's the lost lamb. . . heh. . . not far from where she should be, huh?" the young man asked before using his phone to call one of the others whom also had the forming seal on their wrist. . .
"hey, where you at?" he asked, keeping his voice low.
'I just got here dude, what?'
"ah, really, sweet. the lamb from last night is here. shes staring in our direction, next to the cop cars. . . "
'oh, shit, I see her. '
"you got your tranqs? Daniel had his last I saw before I left for the callin, man, "
'you know it. ' he then hung up.
"alright, traitor, you grab the lamb as soon as johnny shoots the bitch with some sleepers. got it?" he ordered. "I'm not a traitor, but fine. " Abby quietly replied in a hiss. . . she did not want to do this. . . too many cops, too many people . . .she will have to move as soon as they were done. . . new identity, new everything.
