Hau jerked awake, confused. He didn’t remember drifting off but his head felt heavy and packed full of cotton like he’d been deeply asleep. With a frustrated huff, he dragged a paw over his face, trying to wipe away the grogginess. If only it were that easy. He should have known that stopping was a bad idea, putting one foot in front of the other was the only thing keeping him conscious for the moment. Giving himself a little shake as well, Hau crept forward, assessing the parking lot and trying to figure out what had woken him.
His huge ears swiveled like radar dishes and he picked up something in the distance… footsteps? Of several people it sounded. He couldn’t smell anything, but the breeze had died. Regardless, he could tell what direction to expect company from and prepare for it. Pulling himself up on legs that shivered with weakness, he slunk around the cars, putting one between him and where the noise was coming from. Then he ducked down so he had a view of the hiking trail just under the edge of the bumper, ready to use his ice and make a quick escape if necessary.

They made their way their the trees, along the path, and towards the hiking trail's parking lot. With urgency in their step, the journey went much quicker than before, thankfully. "Hau?" Stenson heard Zavijah mutter, and he had to wonder if she might be delirious again.
Just then, as the cars came into view through the trees, Stenson caught sight of what looked like an animal slinking around behind one of the cruisers. A wild animal would be anyone's guess, but the nearly highlighted blue hue of its coat told an entirely different story. Stenson slowed his pace, pulling his gun again to his side just in case.
"Hello? This is WSPD, show yourself immediately, on the ground! Drop any weapons!" He called out. If it was just an animal, it would run. But he watched it closely where it was currently hiding, looking for any sign of intelligence.

zavijah:
she watched with weary eyes. . . seeing a- rather muddied, slightly blue figure, mostly hidden among the cars. . . . though it was his aura that she was more focused on. . ."Hello? This is WSPD, show yourself immediately, on the ground! Drop any weapons!" Stenson barked. . . considering what they might of just fled, she cant blame him. . . "Hau, if thats you, its alright. please come with us, your safer with the officers here. . . . " she urged. granted, she might be mistaking some other poor soul for Hau, she just met the man hardly the morning of this day. . . she could see it was not merely an animal. . . .but. . . whomever this was, they were not safe if they remain out here. . . . she glanced around the area. . .something tells here they would not be alone soon if they remain. . .
she does not know if this being had been seen or not, if he had been attacked or not. . . hopefully not on both accounts. . .but as much as she cares little for her own well being, God forbid another fall victim to the same as she had. . . ."Hau, please. . . its not safe here. "
honestly though, this day she was prepared to end already. . . . just hopefully with no further ill happenings. . .

"Hello? This is WSPD, show yourself immediately, on the ground! Drop any weapons!"
Hau tensed automatically, ears falling flat against his head. He didn’t want another confrontation, but how would they react to him? His size alone was enough to alarm most people and his ability to communicate in this form was limited.
"Hau, if that’s you, it’s alright. Please come with us, you’re safer with the officers here. . . . "
His ears flicked back up at the sound of his name. Who? He crept forward to peek around the car, but felt himself seized by the sudden urge to hide. For so many years he’d been concealing this part of himself, it was a violation of his most basic instincts to reveal it. But he was so tired. And he hadn’t come all this way just to run. Forcing himself to his feet, he moved just far enough to peer around the edge of the cruiser and view the small cluster of people at the edge of the parking lot.
Oh. Oh! Oh! His bleary mind tripped over itself trying to catch up to what he was seeing. Among the group of harried looking police officers was that pair from the café. What on earth were they doing out here? But then he registered the police uniform that the gray-skinned man was wearing and Hau’s thoughts belatedly clicked into place. He was a cop, and he was carrying the young lady. The young lady who really should have been in the hospital after what had happened earlier. Yet here she was, in the woods, in the middle of the night. Hau had so many questions he was just burning to ask.
Instead he eased out into the open as the man had demanded, taking each shaky step with care, afraid any sudden movement might be cause to start shooting. Hau dipped his head low and gave a plaintive little whine, doing anything he thought might make him appear less threatening, before dropping back down onto the ground.

Stenson waited for the hiding creature to respond or act out or run, anything to clue him in on who or what it was. When the creature stepped slightly forward, edging its head out from behind the cruiser and then eventually further out at their voices, Stenson got a slightly better look at it. It was certainly the size of a wolf, an obvious canine, but something about its features were very un-wolf like. In fact, it had the sleek, streamline features of a fox, albeit unnaturally blue in color.
Stenson kept his gun out but refrained from aiming it just yet. The other officers did the same.
"Hau, if that's you, it's alright. Please come with us, you're safer with the officers here..."
Stenson raised an eyebrow, wondering what Zavijah was going on about when suddenly it clicked for him. That blue...he'd seen it earlier that day, of course. Was that the same man? And was he a super? Stenson watched the fox react to the name, now showing that it did seem to have sentient understanding and he took a sigh of relief. If that was indeed Hau from the Cafe, then his worries were in vain. The fox crept out into the open on shaking legs, head lowered and whining. The way he walked, there seemed to be something off about him, as if he were near collapsing. Which, of course, he did just then in compliance with Stenson's demands. The officer holstered his gun, earning a few surprised and hesitant glances from the other cops to which he held up a hand.
"It's ok. I think this one's a friend." He said. Jay was the first to holster his own weapon, followed by the others.
"Hau, if that is you, we're not going to harm you. Are you alright?" He said gently, holding a placating hand up. All he could do was hope that Zavijah was right and not just hallucinating. He also hoped his own gut feeling wasn't lying to him either.

zavijah:
she was abit relieved that the others did not seem to pursue the being continually aggressively. . . or rather, defensively. . . depending on how one looks at the situation. . .though a thought occurred to her. . . Sara was a shifter, and she shifted with all of her clothing. . . . though there was another who only had just a fur on. . . .Officer Cassius. . . then there was another who had nothing when they shifted. . . .
she grunted when she adjusted herself before tightening her legs around the officer just enough to hold herself up for a bit, so she could dig around and dig out a fur cloak. . . it was a deer skin. . . she hooked her arm back around and on the officer's shoulders with the fur before her legs released abit. . . .getting abit too tired for this. . . . before trying to offer the cloak. . in case he had need of it. . ."Hau, here . . . It will keep you warm. . . and provide a cover in case you have need of it. " she offered.
wait, they were at the cars, far from the boarder of the seal, she could just hop down and walk. . . though they might need to hurry into the 'car' given that they were not safe where they were. . .
At that point there was a haunting distant howl that bellowed from the area they had just left, deep in the woods where the site was. . . where the would be assassin remained. . . . she glanced back at the wilderness behind them, grimacing before towards the others then Hau. . .she herself was tired. . . tempted to just roll in the fur herself like a blanket, even. . though its for Hau. .
"Hau, please. . . its alright. . . their safe. . please come with us. " she stated again, almost pleading. . . . she really did not want to see anyone fall victim to this. . . . no more. . . "If you've been hurt, they can aid you. . . "

As the officers holstered their guns Hau felt some of the tension within him uncoil. He’d already been shot once today, it made him shiver to think how close he might have come to having it happen a second time.
"Hau, if that is you, we're not going to harm you. Are you alright?"
Yes! He nodded, which probably looked like an awkward gesture coming from a giant fox, but he had to confirm his identity somehow. Answering the man’s question would not be so easy. If Hau just changed back he could speak properly, but there was the troublesome issue of not having any clothes. Despite all that had happened to him, maybe even because of it, his dignity still felt important to him. But if push came to shove, and he found he had no other choice, he would swallow his pride and get it over with. Hopefully, as cops, they had seen worse.
Then the young lady pulled a deer skin out of her bag, offering it to him to cover up. How did she know? He almost didn’t care, even if she was some sort of psychic super or something like that. He was so pleased with the offer his tail wagged tiredly behind him, a gesture he usually avoided because he wasn’t a dog and it was simply embarrassing.
Before they got any further, though, a howl echoed out of the deep woods. Hau jumped to his feet, too fast, and stumbled sideways before righting himself. Turning in the direction the sound had come from, he bared his teeth and growled, the mane along his shoulders ruffling in agitation. He didn’t want to fight, but he’d help these people if there was a confrontation.
"Hau, please… it’s alright… they’re safe… please come with us. If you've been hurt, they can aid you…"
At the words, Hau edged slowly towards the group but kept his focus on the trees, only stopping when he bumped into the gray-skinned man’s legs. He was tall enough he could reach the deer skin if he wanted, but he just gave the young lady’s hand a tiny lick, trying to say thanks but he wouldn’t be needing it just now. Not until they were safe.
Then he glanced between the group and the cars behind, wondering what the plan was, before turning back to the forest, listening hard for anything approaching.

Stenson was glad to see Hau answer him in a way, a simple nod of the head but human enough to signify that the canine was most definitely sentient and a friend. Zavijah was already moving about on his back and pulling something from her bag. It felt like a hide or cloak of some sort which she offered to Hau. Shifter, of course, Stenson could relate to the cost of indecency when returning to normal.
As Hau edged forward, Stenson relaxed his posture and allowed the other super to huddle close to him, leaning against his leg.
"Well, now that we're all safe for the most part, we should-"
Just then, a loud howl emanated from somewhere behind them. Stenson tensed all over again and turned towards the woods. He hissed an expletive and lowered himself into a kneel. Here should be safe for Zavijah to get down again, since they'd both had feet planted on the ground when they first arrived with no risk of whatever seal Zavijah had mentioned before. "Here's where you guys need to split." Stenson said, waiting until Zavijah was off before standing again. He looked to the other officers and their cruisers. Then around at the park. Then uttered another expletive.
"Shit! the road..." He breathed with exasperated frustration. Barricading the entrance was a smooth line of bollards which had previously gone unnoticed when they had been concealed beneath the pavement. He hadn't even realized! Of course the park would be closed by this time, and the entire system was probably automatic to prevent park attendants from risking their lives late at night with closing a chained gate by hand. The parks perimeter was equally inescapable thanks to a ring of heavy boulders that were both decorative and discouraging to late night vehicles looking to pass around the bollards for an evening make-out session or thrill hunters hike in the woods. They were trapped....
"Alright, you four, take the cars and get a wall made towards the road facing the woods! Jay, look after these two and watch my back. I'll get my car in line too and then...whatever that thing is, leave it to me." His voice sounded confident, but inside all he could think about was how loud that howl had been....Whatever was out there, it wasn't happy.
The others moved quick, jumping into their cruisers and moving them into a single-file line hood to bumper to form a protective wall for the others to hide behind. Once theirs were in place, Stenson placed his own vehicle at the back of the line, furthest away from everything. Once he was parked, he addressed Zavijah and Hau. "You two, stay by my Charger. If that thing starts winning, get out of here while you can on foot and don't look back." He looked up, eyes drawn from a moment to the officers as they prepared their weapons and tried to radio for back-up. Some were still hitting some interference, and Stenson was doubtful that HQ was getting any kind of straight feedback.
"Do you understand?"

zavijah: she blinked when Hau licked her hand? wait, what was this suppose to mean? or perhaps that was his nose and she was too exhausted to distinguish the two. . . . then again, she had not only owned but raised many dog like creatures. . . .that licked her. . .especially Moose . . . who licked her. . . alot. . . that was definitively a tongue. . .he wagged his tail when he saw the cloak. . perhaps he was just thanking her for it. . . .though he did not grab onto it. . . especially when he started to growl at the wilderness, beyond the clearing. . . she clambered off carefully yet awkwardly when she noted that Stenson took a knee. . . it was good being back on her feet. . . dry ground, unlike the sudden soggy earth she was ensnared within moments prior . . . she tied the cloak onto her butt purse's strap to hold onto for for Hau until he had need of it. . . .perhaps he felt more confident in this current form then on the feet of his human form. . . when Stenson started to curse about the road, she frowned before looking to the paved path the officers took on the way here. . . .she grimaced apon the sight. . . Long rocks? but they were colored rather brightly. . perhaps she could cut them down, clear the path with her sword, either the Greatsword, or one of the two Phoenix Clay swords she has . . . but before she could mention it, they immediately began relaying orders and arranging their cars in a formation of a wall, before Stenson returned to them after having moved his. . . "You two, stay by my Charger. If that thing starts winning, get out of here while you can on foot and don't look back." did they intend to stand their ground and fight?. . . .she cant leave them to their death. . . not for her sake. . . .God forbid another youth die in her place. . . . she glanced over in the direction of the area before spotting the aura. . . the same aura that was unconscious. . . now awakened. . . was surrounded by what seemed to be others. . . albeit, tethered by some strange energy she did not recognize. . . . but they seemed to swarm the only living one thus far. . they need to know."Do you understand?" he asked. " . . . . I understand. . " she sighed before started to dig around in her butt purse. . . "if you intend apon holding your ground. . . .it would wise to give you another talisman as well as the others one. . . . . It would also be wise to inform you what I can hear and see past the woods where 'it' stands. . . " she finally stated. . . she pulled out 1 more turtle talisman, 3 talismans that were carved to appear as foxes. . .2 talismans that looked carved to be a rabbit, and a talisman that looked to be carved to appear as an Oxen. . now that she thinks about it, if he was going to go after this thing, as strong as he was, it would only benefit him to have additional strength. . . that and she was too tired to fight- as bitter as she was to admit it- she would be useless to them. . . especially if shes recaptured before she can further elaborate on what was going on. . . ."there is one whom is alive near where you engaged into battle while at one of the Catalyst Stakes. the site of where the closest body was found. . . . .whomever still remains within the woods. . . .is surrounded by many whom no longer breathe nor posses a heartbeat. . . they are tethered to the living one by a strange energy I do not recognize. . . they might be the one who stands against us . . . for all other living beings had fled the area due to the mudslide prior. . . ." she started. she awakened all of 7 talismans in hand before offering Stenson the Ox talisman. " this one will grant you additional strength to what strength you posses. . . you will not need worry of unintentionally destroying another hand unless you exert enough strength with the intent to kill and destroy. . .otherwise, hopefully, it will aid you in sparing your strength . . ." she explained. "might be best to place the other talisman around your neck so your opponent will be unable to steal it from you as easily. . . " she added. if he needed help, she would help in untying the talisman from the shoulder strap. the twine on all of them was long enough to almost wear the talismans as belts. . . mostly due to just in case she needed to tie one of them onto Moose. . . if she took him to one of the realms. . . . she would then offer two of the officers the rabbit talismans, then the other three including Officer Jay the fox talismans. "the talismans that appear as rabbits would help mend wounds . . the fox talismans will grand better ability to of evading oncoming attacks. . . " she then walked towards Hau before gently tying the last talisman in her hands around his neck . . . the other turtle talisman. . not tightly, no, she did not want him to become strangled by it. . "Hau, this will protect you. . . " Thankfully, Hau was large. . .his head was almost at her own. . she had no need of kneeling down. . .though she felt herself falter abit after she had tied the talisman onto the icely blue fox. . . . . she was determined to die on her feet if she was to die. . . too tired to fight. . .definitively too tired. . .she stumbled abit to the side before taking a knee. . . ----------------------------------- The man furiously ripped about within the now forming armor of mud and undead he had raised. . . when he woke up he reclaimed control . . . before he finally spotted the movement of lights passing his field of view . . .he paused before glancing over. . . .and grimaced. . . .who was present? . . . .he glared before sending some of smaller undead from the amassing form he had created downhill. . . towards the notion of movement he felt through the undead's senses. . . . . the magic that allowed him to tether the unfortunate souls to himself for his use. . . . perhaps he can lure them closer to him? perhaps. . . though they did not seem like they were in any hurry to leave. . . perhaps if he got rid of the cars first. . . before any of them can get inside of them . . or perhaps bury the road. . . .or. . .were they trapped? . . . . then perhaps he wont need to lure them in, just bring the woods to them. . . so using the copious amounts of mud and skeletons writhing within the form, he rode within the mass downhill. . . but not all the way down hill. . .
nooo, why give up a perfect advantage of being uphill from his marks? he just needed to see past the thicket. . . causing the massive form to just barely peak over the treetops of the trees still standing. . . seeing parts of the hill were slightly less dense with some of the trees downed from him attempting to drown and bury the gray skinned-police officer and Co. with mud, rocks, larger rocks and trees. . . .

Hau followed his gaze towards the road, noticing the bollards again. He’d glanced over them upon first arriving, but his bleary mind hadn’t made the connection between them and the cars at the time. So much for hightailing it out of here.
"If that thing starts winning, get out of here while you can on foot and don't look back. Do you understand?"
A growl rumbled up from his throat. He hated the idea of staying, but he also hated the idea of leaving, especially since it implied letting the officers continue to fight a losing battle. Retreat was okay when it was just him, here it just felt selfish. But he wasn't stupid and he’d do as he was told, even if he didn’t like it. Giving himself a shake, he swallowed his agitation and gave the man another nod and a resigned huff.
Most of the young lady’s explanation made sense to him, but some of it went right over his head. Catalyst stakes? Was she… talking about zombies? He craned his head to see the talisman as she tied it on. Hau wasn’t sure what help the little turtle-shaped bauble would be, but he noticed her companion sporting one like it.
Almost as soon as she finished tying it, she dropped to her knees. Hau’s breath whistled through his nose in a plaintive whine. How badly hurt was she? He pressed in close to her, trying to herd her towards the Charger, but didn’t lean in too hard lest he topple them both. Even with four shaky legs, he was still steadier than her so he pushed his head under her arm, trying to tell her she could use him as a crutch if needed. They needed to move. He could hear something crashing through the woods towards them and, from the rapid gunfire snap of breaking branches – maybe even trees? – and crushing undergrowth, whatever it was sounded huge.

The others seemed to aquiesce well enough, although it didn't take Zavijah long to start passing out more of her strange talismans. He'd already seen one in action, so he didn't need to doubt her explanations as she went over what each one did. As she talked, he was already untying the small jade turtle from his uniform to swap for a larger 'necklace' style manner of holding them. With the ox and turtle now around his neck, he wondered if it would be enough. When Zavijah dropped to her knee, Stenson made to catch her but saw that Hau was already on it. He was grateful for the blue-haired super's help for sure, although he hated that he and Zavijah were stuck out here with Stenson and the other officers in harm's way.
Out in the woods, he could hear something moving about as it crashed through the trees and labored towards them. It was still a bit too far out to discern any detail, but as he glanced at the swaying treetops, his heart sank. It was big all right...
With a morbid slowness, Stenson unbuckled the first strap on his vest. Then the next, as he watched a massive 'something' peek over the trees. There was also more movement in the woods themselves. This was going to be a fight for sure, which meant he probably wasn't going to be able to rely on his current state of being. With that in mind, Stenson removed the last buckle and slipped his vest from his shoulders. He handed it to Jay, who nodded solemnly and took it. The vest, utility belt, and most of Stenson's uniform was also removed and then promptly stowed into the trunk of his cruiser by his partner. Meanwhile, the gargoyle stood in waiting silence for their adversary dressed only in his pants and a tanktop.

zavijah: she flinched when both Hau and Stenson moved to catch her, Hau having moved his body under her arm to keep her from hitting the ground. . . "apologies. . .Ive become a burden. . . " she spoke. . she was not quite accustomed to having her consciousness thrashed and torn at as much as she is use to the physical or spiritual abuse. . . sure. . from stubbornly casting those invading her mind, she was use to. . .but being thrashed about in the river of time? . . vastly more different. . . she glanced back as Hau herd and guided her towards the cars. . . in particularly, Stenson's car. . . she frowned. . "Stenson, word of warning. . . try to use the Oxen in bursts of energy rather then continuously. . . .otherwise, it will die of exhaustion . . . " she stated. . . Stenson's car was a far as she was willing to go. . . she did not want to leave the officers to fight. . . she did not want to leave them to a potential death. . . .especially over her own sake. at the car, she tried to stay on her own feet. . . trying to not rely too much on Hau's strength. . .not because of anything against the being, but rather, she did not want to exhaust the fox's strength trying to hold her up. . . he already shook. . either from fear or something else, she did not know. . . .but she did not want to sap any more strength from him then she already had when he moved to catch her and practically carried her to Stenson's car. she needed to set her arm. . . her only useful arm was on Hau at the moment while the other one was broken and useless. . . in her medkit. . .she had a vial of a extract. . .a plant poison. . . used from a plant she had used when both of her legs were broken and she needed to climb a cliff side out of a hole when she was perhaps 10 years old. . . .her memory was foggy whether if it was an 50 foot drop or an 100 foot drop. . .just that it took her nearly the entire day to climb with two broken legs. . . . perhaps if she could set her arm and use that extract. . .the poison would cause her muscles to tighten to the point where they would hold the bone in place. . . her arm would be abit messed up for a few weeks if she does not neutralize it. . .she could just let the curse on her back mend the wound. . . but she hates when it mends her wounds. . . .she still feels the raw pain of whatever injury she had gained for weeks, or perhaps months at times. . . while her body was physically fine. . . then theres the sense of lack of humanity as some describe it as. . . a plant poison induced localized lock jaw situation was far more appealing then. . . that. . . . she only used it to come out here to confirm whether or not if this monster of a seal or if these events were what she had suspected them to be. . .
she hates that it was this seal. . . how did something like this come into this realm? . . . .how are there so many halfbloods, that something like this could be conceivable? for something like this to work, they not only need halfbloods, but one of each in the correct order to accomplish this. . .they made it this far, and know that the next one would have naturally blue hair. . . .
when a few figures came charging out. . . they were smallish skeletal figures. . . she could see the strange energy tethering these forms to whatever amassing abomination laid behind the treeline. . . the smaller skeletons- perhaps numbering around 6 ish overall. . . given one of them seems to be two skeletons that have been fused in an unholy manner. . . charged in a rushed yet mindless manner at the officers. . . they seemed rather. . . flimsy in form. . . perhaps they were distractions? . . .she glanced around to look for potential enemies that might aim to flank them. . .
------------------------------------
the would be assassin watched as he had his skeletons look for his gun. . . .not all of them, but some of them. . .he wanted them to find his rifle. . .the one he lost during the skirmish. . . he began to focus his magic and prepare for an attack. . . he was going to have a larger undead tangle with the gray skin. . . though if he was stronger. . . might be a more 'funner' yet dummer idea to just personally take him on with the amassed skeleton hoard and mud puppet he has created and used as a ride.

It took more effort than Hau expected to get the young lady over to the car as she leaned heavily into him. He tried to look her over as they walked, see where and how she was hurt, but there didn’t seem to be any blood this time. That was a good thing, he supposed, otherwise this would have been dangerous. He doubted his ice would be enough to cool down or neutralize whatever was in her blood. But he noticed her free arm hung limply and it was dark with bruising.
By the time they reached the Charger, though, she seemed a bit more steady and was standing mostly on her own. Hau locked his legs beneath him to hide the trembling and decided to stick close by her side so she could use him as much as she needed. And this way they could be ready if or when retreat became the only option.
A noise drew his attention around. He heard them before he saw them, skeletons crashing out of the trees at the far end of the parking lot. This threat was a lot less human than he was anticipating. Without sparing much thought for how these things were alive and moving, Hau scrambled to come up with a way stop them before they got too far. Freezing a single moving target at this distance was a challenge any good day, in his current condition he wasn’t willing to bet anything on it. So, falling back on his usual tricks, he iced the ground immediately in front of them, a thin layer in patches just large enough to trip them up. There was no way he’d be able to catch them all, some were just too far away and he wasn’t moving fast enough for others, but the two closest to him and the young lady would blunder right into the slick ice.

With his gear stowed safely in the trunk, Stenson stood in silent anticipation to wait for their adversary to show themselves. He didn't have to wait long, as about 6 skeletal figures burst from the dark treeline to amble towards them in a mindless charge. There was a brief cry of "Stop where you are!" before gunfire erupted from behind. The other officers had begun to shoot at the creatures, aiming mostly for their boney skulls. Stenson watched Jay shout a sort of battle cry of his own before loosing a bolt of blue light from one hand. The electrical charge arched and flashed forward towards the doubled skeleton.
Stenson took a couple of steps back, not out of fear or hesitation, but of preparation. One of the skeletons clambered towards the gargoyle, its skinless mouth clapping like a Halloween decoration from Hell as it lurched forward. Granite hardened over Stenson's arms and shoulders, leaving small gaps for his joints to bend and he threw himself forward at the same moment, grabbing the skeleton's frail ribcage and pulling outward while also pushing back, aiming to both concave and pry apart the skeleton's central frame. Two more followed after the first and Stenson used whatever was left of the first skeleton to swing towards the others, hoping to knock them apart.
The whole time, Stenson's mirrored eyes reflected moonlight from above while the orange around them seemed to glow like fire. There was a subtle crackling along his spine, perhaps not audible above the sound of gunfire. It deepened into a wet, hollow popping sound as his back and shoulders slowly began to broaden. His limbs also began to take on a more muscular appearance as they flexed and grew. Stenson's glared at the oncoming army of skeletons, his nose and mouth just starting their own transformation, flashing sharp thickening teeth and fangs that began to lengthen. The shift was never fast, and always looked painful, but Stenson otherwise showed no sign of discomfort or agony. Already the waistline of his pants and back of his tanktop began to tear at the sides as the beginning signs of wings and a tail started to take shape while spines grew along his back. This wasn't necessarily what Stenson wanted, but with the larger enemy approaching, he didn't want to play any games.

zavijah:
her ears twitched at the clacking of many bones. . . she watched as Hau summoned ice in front of them to cause the ones closest to themselves of the skeletons to slip and slide, while the officers yelled for them to cease before firing the painfully loud weapons in hand. . . 'guns' . . . the either shot down by the shaftless arrows, crushed or they cracked their own frames against the ground as they flailed to correct their balance, it was quickly evident that these were rather frail. . . were they distractions? . . . she notice that more of similar were sent out against them. . . . 6 bodies again. . . she frowned as she watched the strange energies. . . the 6 that were defeated seemed to have had their souls forced back towards the large mass of many. . . but why? . . .though she could not help but noticed the rather eerie sound of cracking, tearing and series of snaps coming from near by. .
when she glanced over, she was rather. . .ill prepared to see Stenson slowly growing bigger. . .spikes forming- was he hurting himself? . . . what was more concerning was what she was hearing. . . more then what she saw. . . he was a shifter. . .of some sorts. . .but the sounds of bones snapping and muscles pulsating and shifting, while tendons stained and relaxed was unsettling to say the least. . . well. . . shes heard worse while treading the pits of demon dens. . . but. . . hopefully she was merely overreacting. . .blood loss and being thrashed about spiritually perhaps has pushed her on edge. . . .she needs to calm down. . .think . . . she quietly moved to where she freed her arm from Hau's back and crouched down slowly onto one knee. . . keeping an eye on the auras hiding behind the treeline. . .she needs to remain alert for this. . . .
this actually explained abit about his strange aura now that she has distracted herself with the question of what was going on to Stenson. . .his aura was strange, but not demonic. . .though it did not seem like a shifter's aura either. . . hopefully the Ox talisman would prove useful to him regardless. . . . if Stenson was the sort to lose control while shifted into this form he was changing to. . . . good chance he might exhaust and kill the ox talisman off quicker then she suspected. . .
she quietly reached into her butt purse and pulled out her medical kit. . and old and worn wooden box. . .rather well taken care of, yet obviously sporting some dents and other signs of physical abuse. . perhaps from being struck, or dropped a number of times. . . . . all with her left hand before opening it and pulling out a vial of what looked like runny yellow paste that was corked closed. . . . a stimulant she has made prior. . . "Hau. . .I'm going to use stimulant apon myself and attempt to reset my arm. . . .do you have any need of anything? " she asked. if anything, the yellow stuff as she carefully uncorked it within her left hand sorta smelled like coffee? and egg and some sort of herb. . .and dirt, definitely smelled like dirt.
then there was a few roars after the second batch of skeletons were dealt with. . . 3 . . .they were smaller then the initial roar that had startled the group prior, and there were clicks following the three roars immediately. . . . but sizeable enough. . three monstrous undead. . . perhaps the size of bears. . covered in mud and decay as they moved like enraged gorillas. though they had no eyes. . . if anything. . they seemed to see by hearing. . . from the rather disgusting bubble like forms on either side of their heads. .
in addition to the gorrilla like movements and body shape, they had what appeared as feather-like quills at their arms and down their spines. . . . . as if they had a purpose or function but for what was uncertain . . . the hind legs were short and stout while the arms were long and broad as were their chests and shoulders. . . though of course. . . they were undead. . . parts of the muscle structure was exposed on them on various areas. . .red and black as though necroses had set in long ago. . .one of them looked much further along in the decomposition then the other two, seeming to be the slimmer of the three present. one of them seemed more of a bastardization of the other two. . . unholy mix n match of someone playing God and mixing body parts of various creatures and people to create it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
he groused to himself as his minions still haven't found his gun. . . . he sent larger undead to preoccupy the officers. . . though seeing the gray one begin to shift into something else. . .this enticed him abit. . . perhaps he would be fun to face off. . . . . definitely with his guns, of course. . .
then came the thoughts of mounting his head over the fireplace. . . hopefully while the bastard was shifted, of course. it was almost unhealthy how the would be assassin valued the concept of life so little. . . . trophies to collect. . . he was planning for the long term game. . . of course, he was not the head of the group, by no means. . . but he did not see the harm in splurging himself in grabbing himself some memorabilia to this day in particular. . . of all the lamb he had slaughtered and captured, this one proved to be the first willing to go to the authorities. . . something to keep in mind for later hunts and captures. . . the lambs were starting to become brave. . . .starting to trust public figures whom historically hunted them down in their respective homelands. . . . they might need to start infiltrating the various police departments to dash this forming trust out of the way. . .
----------------------------------------------------- meanwhile, Abby and the young man dragging her towards the site had finally reached the park . . . . immediately they had to take cover. . . they were at least 15 feet away from the cruisers. . . .there were alot of cops about which made the young man suspicious of this entirely. . . . .then they saw and heard the undead as well as some of the officers. . . but no sign of the halfbloods. . . not yet. . . " shit, Gareth is pissed. . . " he muttered. " I've never seen him use his necromancy or the mud magic he has this flippantly. " "yeah. . .lets go see if we can find the lamb around here. . . the calling had stopped but theres a chance its near by. " Abby pointed out. "good point, either find them-" or go get buried. "və yanımda patrona gətirin. və etdiklərinizə pis baxın( and bring it back to the boss with me. and ill keep shut about what you did.) " he hissed. " hey, hücum etdiklərini və nişanlarını, götlərini tuta bilmədiklərini gizlədə biləcəyimiz kimi deyil. (hey, its not like we would of been able to hide the fact they attacked and failed to capture their mark, asshole.) " she quietly groused back. " ya bu barədə məlumat verdi və təcavüzkarın ehtimalı az idi və ya sonradan kəşf olunur və hamımız nəzərdən düşürük. (it was either report it and seem less likely the aggressor or it gets discovered later and we all get the stare down.) "
"yeah, yeah, either get to looking or coming up with an excuse. " he groused before they started to move adjacent from the officers. . . one of them made a point to watch the fight while the other looked for footprints. . . for once it was easy since this halfblood was barefooted. both staying close to the other. . . . so far, the cars where in the way. . . no way to see who was where. . .
