Ru glanced between the two friends. He wasn’t quite sure about the incident they were talking about, but he had the sneaking suspicion that it might be related to Simon’s werewolfism. Had she known him before he became a werewolf?
Simon had a lot of secrets; he wasn’t sure which one Theadora was referring to, but that was alright with him. He imagined he’d find out soon enough.
He crossed his arms, smiling when the bartender came back to supply him with his drink. He declined the offer for food, though when he saw Simon, decided to change his opinion. He instead ordered some fries for the table. Simon, at least, really liked fries.

Simon's eyebrows went up, and he blinked at Thea, then understanding hit him. His face grew warm, and the werewolf gave a bit of a shrug. It was embarrassing. And had been a dangerous miscalculation on his part.
"OH. I don't think I told him about that one...We had an impromptu, uh, wolf sleepover a while back. I had my internal calendar off."
He paused when the guy came back over, eagerly receiving his drink. Ru beat him to the fries, and he nodded appreciatively. He'd given this bar a solid 7.5 on the burger/ fries rating scale, and the fries were definitely doing some carrying.
"But, uh. He knows things get a little hairy, if that's what you're getting at."

the confirmation that Simon's partner was on the up-and-up about Simon being a werewolf gave Theadora a good amount of reassurance, and that tenseness left her pretty quickly.
"Ah... that is good, yes" She nodded "Though I am... unsurpassed you did not tel him. You ate half of my food during that situation, if you remember."
That wasn't a memory Thea would be forgetting anytime soon. The fact that she'd managed to keep her anxiety in check during that debacle told her that she was doing much better than she thought she was in her new town - normally that anxiousness would have frozen her. Or perhaps it was just that, even subconsciously, she implicitly trusted her friend.
She wasn't about to question anything at this juncture.

Ru shook his head. Simon usually didn’t tell him about misadventures, and now that Simon was on regular medication, and Ru was usually over, he had fewer misadventures in general. From Simon’s usual werewolf behavior, he completely believed the story.
“Um. I’m glad..he looks for people he trusts in times of need?”
The vampire smiled in a way that almost seemed grimace-like. There weren’t many upsides to Simon being a werewolf, apart from sounding cool and being a really good boy once a month. He rubbed his cheek, and leaned back.
“I guess..if you know that. I’m a vampire, so…I know things already. I don’t suppose you…”
From Thea’s aura, she was still a human, but at this point he knew well enough that there were many kinds of supers who were simply magic-using people.
“You know… do things.”
He wiggled his fingers, as if demonstrating spell-casting.

"I didn't think it was a very attractive thing to tell him, we'd just started dating," Simon joked,"He knows what he's in for now, though."
He had given her some money to help restock her fridge, but it hadn't been his finest moment for sure. There was no way to have your dignity and also beg your friend for cookies while making canine whining sounds. And it was not a very sexy story to relay to Ru.
Simon brightened when Ru announced he was a vampire, and patted Ru's arm sportively.
"He's fangtastic."
He shook his head when Ru asked if Thea was magic, but let her explain her normalcy.

Theadora chuckled at their couples banter, understanding why Simon might have found that whole situation just a little embarrassing. It had seemed embarrassing, frankly. Somewhat surprised at the reveal that he was a vampire, she supposed it made sense, and she giggled at Simon's pun, without rolling her eyes - she loved puns too, thanks!
But then Ru asked her if she had any "magic" - she assumed that was the question - she quite quickly shook her head in response.
"Oh, dios mio - absolutely not" She crossed her arms in front of her as if to ward it off "From what I have heard that sounds very dangerous! No thank you, no"
Simon and her had delved into the topic before, and just hearing about all of the magical mishaps he'd been privy to frankly made her sheepish at the very idea of even holding anything mildly enchanted. She'd stick to her old wives tales, thank you very much.

Ru smiled at Simon. It wasn’t..well, unattractive, but it wasn’t exactly attractive either. He liked Simon-Simon, and Wolf-Simon, but he personally felt like he was only dating Simon-Simon, thankfully. Wolf-Simon was both like and unlike his boyfriend, even when wearing the charm, and it felt a little weird to think of him as his significant other when transformed.
“It… I imagine with something like that, it’s um. Embarrassing a lot of the time. You don’t need to tell me about every time you um, have a mishap, unless you want to.”
He glanced at Thea. Well, she knew now, so he didn’t have to worry about her finding out anything that she shouldn’t. He supposed that was good of itself.
The vampire shook his head at ‘fangtastic,’ but smiled anyways.
“Oh..sorry to assume. I’ve just…met a lot of people who are. But being a bartender and a dance instructor is cool too. Do you have any other hobbies?”
He leaned forward, resting his elbow on Simon obnoxiously with feigned innocence.

"Eh. You get the whole Simon bundle now, even the stupid embarrassing parts," Simon informed his lucky boyfriend with jazz hands, "I just didn't wanna scare you off early on."
He couldn't help but grin into his cup at how Thea reacted to the suggestion that she could possibly be magic. Thea was probably one of the most normal human people that Simon knew, and he loved her for it, really. She had a look into Simon's world, seen his little alchemy set up, and had decided that it wasn't really for her. Fine by Simon, she was his lovely human friend. She was someone to talk to about human things and the human world, although that didn't mean he never told her anything about the supernatural. They couldn't not after he'd turned into a wolf in her dining room.
"It's not all that ruff, Thea."
Simon allowed Ru to rest his elbow on him, and plotted his own next annoying move.

"Heh, it is okay that you assumed. It is an easy assumption to make" She answered Ru, relieved at a lack of confusion - she didn't want to have to justify herself. Simon had been very welcoming about everything, gently walking her though and explaining anything if she asked, and not going into detail if she didn't. It had been very anxiety-reducing.
She playfully rolled her eyes at the pun. "Well, I do not think its very... "pup-ular", with most people" She quipped, before returning her attention to Ru o answer his question.
"I quite like to bake" She started "and I am a fan of old movies - from the 1950s. I enjoy the old monster movies with the very silly sets and effects... though, perhaps I feel a little silly watching that vampire one with Simon now.." She coughed awkwardly, taking a sip of her drink.

“Oh baking! I love…baking. I make Simon treats sometimes!”
Ru tried not to add that he was actually making Simontreats for Simon when he did. Simontreats that Simon also ate in human form. If there was something that Ru could respect, it was that his boyfriend had an incredibly flexible diet, and could stomach a lot of things that most people couldn’t in human form, while ALSO being something of a foodie.
What balance.
He leaned into his boyfriend’s shoulder a little more, his head now next to Simon’s. He could see why Theadora and Simon were friends now. It must be the whole monster movie thing.
“…I um. I actually was in a movie about vampires based on the classics. It’s what got me into this whole mess to begin with.”
The vampire gestured at the rest of him. He did indeed look the part, in his antique suit, with his deathly pale skin and jet black hair. His face was long and angular, and when he spoke, his fangs flashed in the neon glow of the lights behind them.
He was, without a doubt, a very vampirey vampire.
“…Was..that vampire movie Twilight?”
He asked Simon, raising an eyebrow.

Simon grinned at the mention of his Simontreats. They were tasty, he liked them in both his human and wolf form. It was kind of silly, but it worked well, and it was incredibly sweet of Ru to make them for him.
"Don't feel silly, Thea. It's fun. Most supers think it's kinda funny."
Simon gave Ru a look indicating that, yes, at least one of the vampire movies was Twilight. He did not look apologetic in the least. He looked almost proud.

Theadora watched them banter for a bit, amused but quite happy for her friend. She took a sip of her drink, looking off to the side at the mention of the infamous vampire movie.
"We mostly watch silly monster movies, usually from Mexico when I am the one that picks the movie" She admits "Those are the ones that I have access too... I find them very funny, or at least interesting"
She took another sip of her drink, and tried to suppress a yawn. She couldn't be tired, not yet. She had things to do, even after this little get-together. She had to run to the store, do some laundry, various adult things. But for now, she needed to give Simon and his partner her full attention. She quickly ordered herself a coffee.

“Oh. Did you guys watch the one with the lesbian werewolves? Good manners? I like that one. The part with the werewolf baby was sweet.”
Ru squeezed Simon’s hand, even though they were just about the opposite of lesbian werewolves. It was the only Spanish movie that he was aware of, and he remembered that his friends only introduced him to it because it was gay werewolves. It seemed that things being both gay and supernatural were both the most important reasons for him to have special interest in movies.
“What’s your favorite? I hear that the Mexican horror movie market is huge and untapped here in the US, and I’ve been meaning to dig in more.”
It had come up in casual conversation, but the vampire had never had the time to do any kind of formal investigation into the matter. It had been the before-times after all.

"I've heard of that one! It's on the list."
Simon's tastes tended to lean towards bad movies, but it was not all that he watched exclusively. He would still sit and watch a well acted film with a budget. Those types of films just weren't his passion. Thankfully, Thea enjoyed goofy films. His Spanish was bad, but, personally, Simon felt that that only enhanced the experience. Made it better.
Simon took a gulp of his warm drink, following it with a handful of fries.
Thea was a very busy woman, Simon acknowledged as he watched his friend order coffee. She wasn't something with claws or fangs or magic, but her life was still very full.

Theadora thought about what Mexican monster movie she could recommend - there were so many! And she loved a lot of them. She used to have a rather extensive VHS collection back in Uruguay - something she'd told Simon about. "Hm... well, there is this one with aliens that learn how to love from a singing cowboy? I am forgetting its name, but its rather funny, and very goofy. The singing is nice, however."
She took a good sip of the coffee - black, with no sugar first, before adding an overflowing spoonful of sugar.
"We do have quite the list of films to watch. It keeps growing longer" She mused.
