[OOC] - Kira calls back to Jed/Hau, moves into the corridor. She makes her way towards Jed's space and is happy to see him. She's unsure of Hau, but he is familiar to her. Once grouped up, Kira points to the green lights as a possible direction for the group to go. [Roll] - N/A [HP] - 25
Kira stared at the frosted glass, her head turning first from one blurred figure to the next. A voice called out from one, a soft "Hello?", from the direction of the smaller silhouette. Then, a deeper call of "Hello? I'm here. Hau is that you? Is everyone alright?"
The first voice seemed vaguely familiar, but the second was indeed familiar. Kira recognized it as Jedidiah's and upon hearing his voice, her fear of being in trouble was somewhat lessened. If Jedidiah was here, surely she was ok to be here as well? Kira stood up a little more and replied back.
"Hello, is Kira. Is be all right, can find Kira?" She said into the fuzzy darkness. Above the red light seemed to make it even harder to see exactly what the figures were doing. Kira took a tentative step forward and made her way towards the corridor outside of the space she was in. She stepped gingerly over the strewn papers and debris on the floor, before poking her head around the wall and out into the corridor. "Is here!" She called a little bit louder, although her voice still seemed small and nervous.
Once she could see the outside area a little better, she looked first one way and then the next, and noticed the greenish glow of distant lights in each direction. She moved out into the corridor and towards Jedidiah's space. Once he was in sight, her ears perked tall and happy, glad to see him. "Ah, Jedidiah is here! Kira be with, is ok? What is be here for Kira and Jedidiah?" She asked, wondering and hoping at the same time, that he might have answers for her. Noise from the other figure nearby would temporarily draw her attention from her larger companion, and if he made himself known, Kira would duck slightly back into a smaller posture, unsure of the other's presence. He would indeed seem familiar though, apparent in her inquisitive looks towards Hau's direction. To the others, she would appear as she always was, dressed only in an oversized t-shirt that draped over her body like a bed gown.
Once the group was together, Kira would point at the green lights. "Green light, can be for follow?" She asked the others. It certainly seemed to be what they suggested, but she looked to the others for guidance.

[OOC:] Moonstone is very confused that he knows things he shouldn't - the language his companions speak, the names of some of the machine parts in the room. He decides to accept Cassius' offer of companionship for now, and then goes to examine the clean and shiny giant cylinder. [Rolls:] Logic Result: 1d20 (18) + 1 Total: 19 [HP:] 25
The light haired human's gaze drifted over him and Moonstone flinched down a little lower, baring his teeth briefly. His wide eyes reflected the flashing red light back in yellowish iridescence, and his fur still stood on end, making him look larger than he really was. When the pale haired man spoke Moonstone's ears flicked into an expression of confusion: the language was alien but he understood it. He understood 'dog' at least. Then the other human was up, dark haired and scarred and speaking, more words in a language he shouldn't know, yet somehow did. This one looked to him as well, spoke and gestured for him to come. He hesitated, uncertain if he should trust the stranger, this strange place, this knowledge that he shouldn't have. Then with some reluctance he crept forward from behind the shelving, keeping low.
"I... I stay with you." His ears pinned as he spoke the words - not a language he should know, confusion apparent in his expression, in the set of his ears and his posture. "Where is this? Why... Why can I understand?"
Both humans were larger than him, daunting. As he drew nearer he slowly rose to stand on two legs, his thick tail twitching behind him. They were still larger than him. Well, maybe that just meant, if he needed to, he could fit in small spaces where they couldn't get to him. There were plenty of those in this mess, in the machinery. Some of it even looked vaguely familiar in a way that it shouldn't. He had never seen machines like this before, but something deep in his mind supplied the word monitor when he looked to the one, and the other... He approached the shining tube warily, touched the smooth surface lightly. Was it something strangely familiar as well?

[OOC:] Casmir ponders his colleagues' identities, unsure of their motives and being careful with what information he gives them. He confirms activation of the TETRA INFORMATION SYSTEM while asking August to check the elevator and security doors to see if they can be opened. [Roll:] N/A [HP:] 25
Casmir heard the sound of bare feet shuffling across the floor before he felt the tap. Even still, his dislike of being touched was not something that was easily ignored, and he couldn't help the tensing of his muscles from the point of contact. Calmly, he looked at the newcomer out of the corner of his eye, taking in the slight frame, the pale skin, and the shoulder-length, curly brown hair. Something about the man's overly-wide, toothy smile didn't sit right with the Hunter; the phrase "trying too hard" came to mind, but the blonde only saw blue eyes, as opposed to the tell-tale red of a vampire-in-hiding, or the sickly pale green aura of a werewolf.
Still, that didn't mean much. Given the strange setting, Casmir briefly wondered if this was some elaborate Fae prank; the Fairy Court loved their little games, and were nearly unmatched when it came to pocket dimensions with their own rules. It was a large reason why he didn't like dealing with them- most supers simply tried to kill you, but the Fae wanted to annoy you, because they found it amusing.
Still, this was far too "ultramodern" for the sprites, so it must have been something else. Casmir put the thought aside for the moment, regardless. "I was just trying figure that out, myself," he replied, avoiding giving his name right off the bat. The scarred man wasn't ready yet to be too free with his tongue- names had power, after all, and he wasn't sure if this "August" was really as much of a "regular guy" as he claimed to be.
Just then a reverberating voice echoed through the room, and Casmir tensed once more, turning to see its source- a humanoid figure with cadaver-esque hands, and a glass pastiche of a head. 'Dullahan,' the Hunter guessed, unsure as to what other creature would wear such a strange thing. The newcomer spoke to August with a familiarity that suggested an acquaintance, which was somewhat reassuring. The way he carried himself, however, and the lack of noise he'd made upon approach made it obvious that he knew how to move without being noticed.
Just then, the image of a screen popped up on the console he was perusing. Casmir frowned down at it, considering. "Mr Hayze, was it?" he asked, speaking to August while keeping the glass-headed figure in his field of vision. "There are some doors on the far wall. Do me a favor and see if there's any way to open them." the Hunter asked, before tapping the "Yes" button on the console.

[Ooc] Simon introduced himself, proposed the idea of working together, and speculated on what happened. He said they should try and get out of the room, or put out the fire if they're trapped. Simon started walking towards the end of the hall to see if there was another way out. [Rolls] n/a [Hp] 25
Simon was relieved that the two were alive, glancing around a bit more before responding in hopes that someone else would drag themslef from the destruction, but nobody did. The woman was not wearing a shirt, so he politely averted his gaze. He clasped his hands together, trying to remember the right protocol for a situation like this.
"Oh thank God- I'm Simon Groves, I don't know where we are, but it's on fire right now," the others didn't seem to know what was happening either," It could be some kind of amnesia from an attack, or a disaster, or temporary curse- I don't know about you, but I can't hear much and my sense of smell is shot. We should stick together, it's safer..."
Simon looked around again. Was there an exit by the stairs? He glanced back at the other two, trying to organize the situation somewhat, trying to soothe his own anxiety and potentially theirs with a plan. He took a breath, wringing his hands.
"We need to get out of here- or put out the fire if we are trapped? The door over here looks shut, but there might be an exit over there...I'm gonna check that out."
Simon started heading for the potential stairs, watching his footing best he could as not to end up with cut up feet.

[OOC:] August give Samael a big hug, then a pat. Goes and tries to brute force the security door before trying to find a button or lever. [Rolls:] N/A [HP:] 25
August’s smile became even wider at the sight of Samael. It was good to see a familiar face? That didn’t seem right in this case but none the less… He wrapped the dullahan in a friendly hug before realizing it was a little weird in their undressed state. He let go with a friendly pat to the shoulder.
“As right as rain and happy as a clam to see ya, Sammy! Are ya going okay? Alright Mr. Muscles! I’ll go check it out. Too easy.”
He padded over to the doors and tried opening the security door expecting to be able to use his brute strength to open it. Except he didn’t have any or at least he had regular old human August strength. Darn it. This was weird. It was too much to hope he was human again, besides he definitely wasn’t breathing.
He stepped back trying to look for some kind of button or release for either door.

[OOC: Hau discovers he has no powers and agrees they should probably get a move on. He takes some of the discarded papers with him, hoping to learn something from them.] [HP: 25]
“Jed?” Hau stepped out from his hiding place and approached the figures, relieved to recognize the voice. He called on his foxfire to light the room and… nothing. Not a flicker. On impulse, he reached for the fox and found that the space within him empty as well. A shiver rippled through him. “Something’s wrong. I can’t use my magic.” And he had no Kalai either. His hands folded into fists.
He looked the giant man up and down. “What about you? Are you okay? Do you know how you got here?” He glanced around, skin prickling now at the sum of what he saw. Before he was willing to chalk this up to a weird dream, although his most embarrassing ones usually had more people around to witness his nudity. But now it felt like something more. Or at least different. Had they been kidnapped?
His eyes dropped to the third figure with them, and he tried to wipe the alarm from his face and tone to give Kira a small inoffensive smile. “Hi. I’m glad you’re alright.” The green lights she referred to glowed steadily at each end of the corridor. It was impossible to make them out from this distance, but they were the only other landmark in the darkness besides the trashed offices on either side of them. “I suppose either direction’s as good as the other. If something bad brought us here, it’s probably a good idea to get out as fast as possible.”
Having a second thought, Hau returned to the office he’d left and gathered a handful of the strewn papers. The red emergency lights made reading them nearly impossible, but he was hungry for information on this place. If this really had been an office of any kind, there would be something useful here.

{OOC: Jedidiah wants to look around for anything of use. Information, tools, some form of indicator as to whats going on, where they were, ect. also agrees they should move. ] [Rolls: na] [HP: 25]
Jedidiah:
"Hey kira, Hau." he replied. he was happy to see familiar faces, yelling seemed like a bad idea, as dim as the pulsating red light was when it was on, who knows who or what came and ripped through the area. .
"Yes, you can be with me, Kira. I'm glad both of you are alright. " he sighed. "I'm alright, I have absolutely no idea where we are though. " he continued, turning towards Hau. He glanced between the two in thought before back towards the offices in thought. He then poked his head out into the corridor. . . "We should leave here, but perhaps we can try and find a map? " he offered.
"if we find one, cool, if not, we may not have the time to linger too long. " he continued. . . with that he moved to look around the office area. . .perhaps there was a map of some sort, perhaps tools, even that they could use. . since he could use his boxers for some things, but he doubted he could cut anything with them. . . Even a writing utensil, cups or paper would be useful. . . or something to hold the supplies if they come across such.

[OOC: Takui introduces herself with her false alias, Ashe. She is suspicious of Kail. She appreciates Simon's ability to take charge, and decides to scope out the nearby storefronts to look for something she can use as a weapon.] Rolls: N/A HP: 25
Takui turned to face the newer voice. Her expression turned stormy when she laid eyes on what was very clearly not human. Hooves, antlers, odd ears... On reflex she went to scent the air, but frustratingly she couldn't detect anything telling. It was as if she had spent a morning lying in the sun; all her senses were little better than a human's.
That frustration was only half the cause for the disgusted curl of her lip. "Who's askin'?" she snapped in sharp retort, regarding the antlered stranger with a cold glare. She wasn't about to give her name to some scummy monster...
The other man didn't seem to have the same reservations. He gave his name away easily - Simon, apparently - and seemed surprisingly at ease with a non-human around. Actually, two, she realized abruptly. She'd been asleep, of course she was without her glamour. Inwardly she cursed herself but there was nothing for it now.
For all that he looked harmless - and maybe a little silly in those dog bone boxers - Takui was quietly impressed with how readily Simon tried to take charge of the situation. It was a weird situation, to be sure. Three strangers, stranded in a foreign place in nothing but their underwear, with fires and destruction all around them. The how and why of it didn't matter at the moment. First, they needed to get their bearings. She could agree with his line of thought, and respected someone who could keep a level head when faced with... whatever this was.
"Call me Ashe," she said bluntly to them both, opting to use her human alias for now. "I'ma take a look 'round here, 'fore we get movin'. Might be somethin' we can use." We? She grimaced. But beggars can't be choosers, and without her gear, her best chance for getting back to safety was to work together.
Carefully, to avoid cutting herself on the strewn glass, Takui picked her way through the wreckage of the hallway. She angled toward one of the ruined storefronts, looking for a safe point of entry to check further inside. Without her blades she felt metaphorically naked, and so her first point of order was to find something that make a suitable weapon.

(OOC: Cassius helps Sarkany to the door of the new room. He then inspects the new room, then pauses to inspect the Out of Place Device. He leaves Moonstone alone to inspect the Glass Fronted Machine. ) [Rolls:] Logic: 1d20 (4) – 2 = 2 [HP:] 25
“I don’t know where this is. Some kind of ship maybe. Probably not a submarine. I don’t know why you can speak our language, but I’m glad of it.”
He spoke while observing the door’s odd shape. Not a submarine, but maybe a ship. The hum, the sirens reminded him of being in the belly of one, but it wasn’t hot. He’d never forget the stifling heat and dead air of the bowels of a warship.
“Sarkany, this way…”
He hoped the sound of his voice would help guide the Seraph, and pulled him along by the hand until they reached the door. The scarred man released his hand as he worked on the door itself, and then, once it was open, he paused.
As Cassius looked at the room beyond, the strange creature moved past him and over to one of the machines. He seemed to know what he was looking at. More than Cassius knew, anyways. And there was something here.
The old werewolf looked to the left of the door, and noticed the Out of Place Device. While he had driven a tank before, he was far from a mechanical engineer or a technical specialist. He looked for any signs of life, and anything that might turn it on.

[Kail trails after Simon, looking into the stores for fire extinguishers and clothes.] Rolls: N/A HP: 25
Kail bristled at Ashe's aggressive tone, nose wrinkling as he surpressed a snarl.
"Since ya asked so nicely, it's Kail." He drawled in reply, sending her a sideways look.
His hostility faded somewhat when Simon mentioned his muted sense of smell. He must be a super as well, then, just not visibly so. And even if he hadn't been, he could appreciate his plan of attack. Get out or put out the fire.
"Yeah. I'll go look for an extinguisher or something."
He skulked away from the fire, hooves silent against the floor as his pale gaze raked across the haphazard storefronts. Modern places like this would have some kind of fire safety measure, right? Or at the very least some clothes.

(OOC: Samael receives hug awkwardly. He then proceeds to turn on the screens, making the others aware of the action, just in case something should backfire.) Rolls: N/A Hp: 25
Samael froze as August went to hug him, arms hovering awkwardly in the air, unsure of what to do about the situation. Physical contact was not his strongest suit, and he preferred avoiding it, considering his track record. That, and he doubted August would enjoy the feeling of being hugged back with hands in a state of perpetual decay. So he was relieved when the young man let go of him, settling on nodding in appreciation of the gesture.
“It is good to see you alright”, Samael replied, hoping his tone made it known that he would have smiled if he could, “I’m fine as well. All things considered.”
As August moved away to try the doors as ‘Mr. Muscles’ had suggested, Samael quickly noticed the power button for the screens, easily within reach. Perhaps the screens could offer some helpful information, or, a far more unpleasant theory, would alert something to their location, if anyone was monitoring power usage somewhere else. But honestly, there really was nothing else to do. In his peripheral vision, he noticed the blonde already tapping away at a smaller screen. This stranger was obviously alert and on guard, both because of the situation and because of them. The way he had made sure to keep Samael in his vision had not gone unnoticed by the dullahan, but for now, he refrained from commenting on it. There was no need to antagonize the blonde more than his mere presence already seemed to.
“There’s a power switch for the screens here”, Samael announced, figuring it best that they all were in the know of what everyone was doing, “I’ll try turning them on.” With that he reached out, turning on the screens.

[OOC: Sarkany puts on a partial blindfold and follows Cassius. He examines the larger screen in the next room for something pokeable or some sign of function.] [Rolls: Logic 9]
The slightest turn of his head showed the old seraph was forbearing at best - what was it with mammals and mouths? - but he took the officer's gesture of greeting for what it was and made no protest.
However he'd come here, he was out of his element. The little fur-thing threw off any guesses he might have had as to the reason of their presence here. Sarkany's head turned as it spoke, though he'd already fixed the blindfold to screen the upper part of his view.
"Ah," he said, to himself as much as the fur-thing. "That's right. The little hopper. What do they call you?"
He did know this creature, in a way. Not that it would recognize him. It had only ever seen him hunting, as a diving shape in passing. He'd thought about giving chase to it once or twice, but the WDSA were prickly about what you could and could not hunt. Disappointing. The recognition didn't add any clarity to this current predicament. So he followed Cassius' prompting, lifting the blindfold just enough to make his way to the larger of the two screens.
Television, was his only immediate comparison. The machine must be some flavor of interactive, to be a Fabrication room. He glanced over the machine, looking for controls. An opening. Some sign of function. Helpful symbols or large red buttons would be ideal. He lowered the blindfold, shutting his eyes to rest them. After a moment, he lifted the blindfold for another look.
No clothes, no natural shape, no knowledge of what he was doing here. It all reminded him of those night terrors Az used to try and explain to him. The pants-less ones. Or the human school dreams. The thought took the edge off Sarkany's irritation. He couldn't imagine being afraid of either. Must be mammal things.

[Security]
August attempts to open the security door. It’s handle is a depression in the door that you can hook your fingers into, but pulling on it does nothing. There does not appear to be a button or latch to release the door, and it doesn’t feel like it’s stuck, either. Locked, perhaps.
Samael turns on the screens one by one. Little red lights become green, and while some of the monitors stay dark, others reveal camera feeds of various rooms. One appeares to be a large square room with a strange, glass-fronted machine on one wall and a dark, long monitor on the other. From this camera feed, you can see Sarkany and Cassius. The monitor next to it shows the room Moonstone is in, with it's knocked over shelves and strange cylindrical device tucked away in one corner.
Another monitor on the other side of the room shows what looks like a shopping mall, though the light of a fire off screen sends shadows across the image. You can see Takui, Kail and Simon moving about through it.
On yet another side, you get a hallway that seemes better suited to an office building. Here, Hau, Jedidiah and Kira poke their heads out of different office spaces.
Other monitors show different rooms. What looks like a first aid station of some kind, an airlock, a row of glass-fronted rooms where plants are grown, and a room with black server towers, and what looks like a dark maintenance tunnel.
Casmir selects [Yes].
A figure blinks to life across from Casmir, on the other side of the console. Although it looks like a woman in a business suit, her hair pulled back into a braid, she’s colored entirely blue and clearly made of light. The hologram gives off a faint glow, hardly enough to see by.
“Welcome to the Tetra Informational System. I’m Tetra, your AI virtual assistant. I can provide you with useful information about Odesa-5, where to find our many attractions, or the history of our station. Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have.”
The hologram pauses. It indicates the unresponsive consoles with her hand.
“It seems that your biometrics are not on file. As you have access to this restricted zone, my security protocols tell me that I can assist you with console activation. Would you like me to help you log in?”
[Admin]
Your searches do not turn up a detailed map or secret documents, but even with the red light making reading more difficult, you do find multiple references to 'Commerce Station Odesa-5' in address lines and papers concerning 'Admin Duties of Odesa-5 Space Station'. There are also a few more personal documents; training accreditation and a denied request for a 'space walk'. Pens are easy enough to come by, scattered though they are across the room. Equally, there are various other office supplies that haven't been broken or torn - staplers, paper clips, calendar diaries, tape and a pair of scissors. The only visible personal electronic, which may have been a large phone or tablet computer, has been smashed, however.
There is also a padded jacket, nowhere near large enough for Jedidiah, but enough to fit one of the other two.
The green lights are present both to your left and right, roughly equidistant.
Suddenly a figure blinks to life near Hau.
[Engineering]
To Cassius, these machines are as baffling as they are large; no matter which way you look at it, or how long you stare at the various screens, buttons, dials and components, you can't make heads nor tails of what it could be for. It's like nothing you've ever seen before.
Sarkany's generalized poking doesn't appear to activate anything on the larger terminal screen. Whether that's because you're not poking the right places, or simply due to a lack of power, is difficult for you to fathom. Unlike a computer monitor or television, this screen has no keyboard, remote, or obvious source of activation.
Moonstone, on the other hand... you find your eyes drawn to just the right places, your brain filling in just the right blanks. The cylinder is large, more than capable of housing a human, should one choose to go inside. A slot at the front contains a latch, allowing a large door to open outwards, implying something should be placed inside or taken out. Above and below the cylinder sit square plates comprised of multiple small hexagons angled in towards the main cylinder and clearly involved in its operation. There is a small, raised display alongside the construction, with a tiny button on the bottom left corner of the screen border. A power button, you surmise. Unfortunately, the display too appears to be suffering from a lack of external power, for when you press it, the associated screen only states, briefly and weakly;
TELEPORTER UNAVAILABLE ON EMERGENCY POWER GRID.
Suddenly a figure blinks to life near Cassius. Although it looks like a woman in a business suit, her hair pulled back into a braid, she’s colored entirely blue and clearly made of light. The hologram gives off a faint glow, conflicting with the red to make it appear purple.
“Welcome to the Tetra Informational System. I’m Tetra, your AI virtual assistant. I can provide you with useful information about Odesa-5, where to find our many attractions, or the history of our station. Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have.”
[Market]
Simon heads for the distant stairs. They’re further away than they seem at first glance, and you pass seven shop fronts before you even reach them. But when you get there, you find yourself in a large, open space that might have at one time contained thriving kiosk vendors. Now it's empty of all but the husks of those kiosks.
To your left is a set of stairs that go up to a second floor, presumably more shops for browsing. Beside those stairs is a smaller door, sleeker in design with a seam down the middle. There's a set of blocky letters above the door that reads MEDICAL.
In front of you is another large bulkhead door similar to the one that the fire had blocked on the other end of the mall.
To your right is another door, similar to the small sleek one on your left. This one, however, is very slightly parted in the middle, allowing you to see inside. Above this door is the word STORAGE.
Kail and Takui begin to check shops. The first two shops on either side of you are so completely destroyed that it’s impossible to tell what they might have sold. The two after that are some kind of tablet-oriented store, although the tablets are unlike anything you’ve seen before and most of them are smashed and broken, and something that gives you the feel of a cell-phone store. Except, the things on display are just oval disks small enough to fit into the palm of your hand. They are spilled all over the floor, knocked out of broken displays.
The next four stores are clothing stores. Mannequins stand in the store front windows clad in designer fashion, sleek and form-fitting. The clothes look like something straight out of a sci-fi movie. Racks have been tipped over and shelves dislodged, scattering the contents of the store all across the floor. Most of the clothing is ripped or torn in places, and an undefinable stain coats much of it. What might have been registers but only vaguely resemble the ones you remember lay broken on the floor.
The next two stores appear to be a room filled with small, differently colored orbs with tiny etchings on them on the left, and a store that appears to contain a plethora of dark colored, futuristic firearms of various sizes hanging on racks on the walls. Some have been knocked out of display cases and are laying openly on the floor.
Suddenly a figure blinks to life near Kail and Takui.
[GM Notes: If you wish to investigate the sleek, opened door leading to STORAGE, roll a strength check to push it all the way open. If you wish to look through the open door, roll perception.]

[OOC - Kira finds some scissors and is startled by the woman. She asks a question that roughly translates to "She appeared! How did she appear out of nothing?"] [Roll] - N/A
[HP] - 25 [Item] - Scissors
Kira hunched a bit when Hau looked down at her, although his softened features and kind words brought her back to a less nervous state. She was especially happy to hear Jedidiah greet her and confirm that she could stay with him and Hau. After hearing the name and looking him over, Kira did feel she had met Hau before, although it may have been fleeting during her visits at Jedidiah's home.
After introductions, the two men began to get their bearings of the area, searching around among the scattered items. Kira looked down as well, noting some of the odd objects. Most were alien to her, although the red light gleamed off the metal of the scissors. Kira lifted them, feeling the weight and cool touch of the blades and ran a winged hand across the handles and top of the blades. She looked back to the others, as if to inquire if she was doing the right thing. They seemed to be digging through the paper things for the most part.
Just then, Kira noticed a figure suddenly appear next to her and begin to speak. Kira flinched hard with a squeak of surprise, nearly dropping the scissors and stumble-slipping over some of the papers. When she finally caught herself, she shuffled quickly to Jedidiah's side. Her eyes were wide and locked on the strange blue woman who had appeared so suddenly to talk to them. When she finished, Kira looked up at Jedidiah with panic.
"Sh-She is be appear! Where is she appear but not is be here before!?" She stammered, gripping the scissors to her chest.

(OOC: Cassius asks Tetra how they restore power, and where can they find other attractions on the station.)
[Rolls:] None [HP:] 25
Cassius stared at the screens, and then the screen in front of him, fussing with the buttons, but it was powerless. He wasn’t the best with technology on a good day, and in the fugue of the dream, he felt his frustration rising, the familiar tenseness in the back of his neck.
Nothing.
He looked over towards Moonstone. The creature was silent, though he seemed to have some understanding of what the strange glass structure meant.
This was good, because he had no idea what any of this meant.
Sarkany, meanwhile, had been trying to push buttons and pull switches, but nothing happened. Nothing until… A strange translucent woman appeared in front of him, and he took a swift step back, as if preparing for combat. For a moment, he thought it might be a ghost, but something was different. Almost robotic. It reminded him of…
“Ah, hologram!”
He said aloud. Perhaps too loudly. Was he surprised? What could this mean?
The scarred man blinked, and realized she might be a useful source of information. Most of all to the most pressing problem, which seemed to be lack of power.
“Computer! How do we restore power? Where can we find the other attractions?”
Cassius spoke loudly and clearly. Something about speaking that way felt right for the situation, but he couldn’t place why. It didn’t matter. If he was wrong he could ask something different later.
He somehow doubted that he could ask her about where to find clothes and weapons, but maybe. And perhaps she knew the way off of this strange ship.
