Jedidiah:
Jacob hesitated abit before nodding. "< yes, please. >" he replied. he seemed to pause for a bit before adding on to this reply. "<ahh, my name Jacob, you?>" he asked. there was about 10-30 mins of the two talking amongst each other before doctor Jedidiah re-entered the room with surgical scrubs on, as well as a surgical mask, a set of glasses, and rubber gloves on. . . following behind him was one of the nurses who also had surgical scrubs on, she pushed in a cart with sterilized pins, tools, gauze and other various tools, such as some wireless power tools to screw in the pins. scalpels . . all within a plastic dome to try and maintain a sterile field. . . they will have to scrub down this exam room when they were done, but for nao, to help the patient, they will need to just fix him there.
in hand, he had two sets of clothing. . .he gave the patient a cover, while giving Ash, a set of surgical scrubs along with a surgical mask and gloves. . . " you dont need to strip down. . but you will need this. " he explained. mostly it was to try and keep it clean. . Jacob, seeing the sleeve might be in the way, opted to put one sleeve on, but not the side where the broken arm was. . meanwhile, the nurses got out the Iodine and a pan to set it under the arm, while Doctor Jedidiah prepared the anesthetic for the local injection.

Ash smiled at the other man again, moving closer and shifting a wing to cup slightly around him in a protective sort of gesture. "[Don't worry, it will be allright.]" He tilted his head slightly to the side as the other offered his name, smiling. "[Jacob,]" he repeatedly slowly, then nodded. "[Good to meet, Jacob. Name is Ash.]" He spoke a bit more slowly, trying to use simple words that would - hopefully - be easily understood. He would converse with Jacob in this manner for a while, his tail swishing idly behind him, until Doktar Jeddy reappeared.
He fidgeted slightly when the giant came back, his extended wing twitching slightly, then folding against his back. He settled in at Jacob's side opposite that which was injured. He blinked when Doktar Jeddy instead stepped over to him and handed him a bundle of... rather ugly clothing. His crest twitched uncertainly as he regarded it, then the doctor dubiously. It took both Doktar Jeddy explaining what he wanted, and then Jacob 'translating' before he had an inkling of what the ugly garments were form. He grimaced slightly as he pulled them on - they were tight, sized for a normal human, and in this form they caught on his scales but... but he didn't want to shift back, he felt Jacob would feel most comfortable with him like this. He wasn't used to wearing coverings over his scales - jewelry, yes, but not actual clothing. The gloves... shredded in short order, caught on claws and sharp scale edges, leaving his hands covered in thin, weird-smelling material.
Once he was as dressed as he was going to get, he settled against Jacob's side again, patting the man awkwardly on the shoulder with a shredded-latex-coated hand.

Jedidiah:
He waited for Ash to put the scrubs on as well as the gloves, before he began. . .he was saddened he didn grab the right size. . .but there was hardly any staff who were of that size range . . "alright, Mr. Qiang . . .I am going to start by cleaning the wound and injecting the anesthetic." He explained, before getting to work cleaning the wound as well as the wound on the patient's wing. . . he grimaced at hao dirty the wound was, although keeping a stoic face, he cleaned the two wounds out. .
Jacob cringed at the cleaning before glancing at the wound before back at Ash. . .it hurts more if he fixates on it. . .thats what his mom told em . . Jedidiah then took a syringe that he had prepared earlier before he started to inject the anesthetic at small doses around the wound. . .he waited for a while before he started to pokethw wound with the needle. . ."alright, can you feel this? " Jedidiah asked, glancing at the patient.
"should I be feeling something?" Jacob questioned. .
Jedidiah simply shook his head "it simply means I can get to work fixing the bone " he replied. Using the glasses he was wearing, a rather special pair, he looked at the bone, before started to move the flesh and bone around with ease, until he was able to position the bone where it was alined correctly once more. . he then took a pin and attached it to the powertool, and began to screw the pin into the bone with a sickening whirl. . .right through end mof the bone, through the fragments, into the other side . . he then placed a few lesser sized pins width ways to help stabilize the bone, before getting to work stitching the muscle tissue up, reconnecting nerves, aligning the tissue the best he could do as to lessen difficulties later during the healing. . using biodegradable sutures for the inner most parts of the flesh. . .the normal kind on the outside. . . during which, he explained as to what he was doing, and why.
He wrapped the section of arm with gauze before weting plaster gauze and wrapping it around the arm as well. . .when he was done, he repeated the process apon the patient's wing . . all the while, Jacob could not feel a thing, but he froze in horror at the sound of the pins drilling into his bone. . .

Ash kept a hand lightly on Jacob's shoulder, steadying the other shifter. He was interested in what Doktar Jeddy was doing - he hadn't seen healing done like this before it seemed... a bit backwards to him. He tightened his grip a little on Jacob's shoulder when the other man flinched, making sympathetic noises and glancing to the other's face now and then.
When Doktar Jeddy brought out some horrible buzzing tool and stabbed it into Jacob's injured limb, Ash flinched as well, his crest flattening and his ears pinning back. That looked more like torture than healing, but while Jacob looked distressed, his reactions didn't show actual pain. His own wing twitched in sympathy when Doktar Jeddy went to work on Jacob's wing, and he leaned forward to nuzzle at Jacob's shoulder in a gesture of support.
"[It will all be well,]" he repeated, although he was beginning to wonder about that. Surely there must be real healers - shamans, mages, oracles - here in Wathais? What Doktar Jeddy was doing seemed barbaric!

Jedidiah:
while he worked on the wing, he only had to use lesser pins for it, using biodegradable sutures for the inner most parts of the flesh to close up the tissue. . .then just like the wing, he wrapped this one up as well. . . when he was done, he then removed his gloves, placing them in a bio-hazard's bin, before removing his glasses and walking over towards the desk. . he then took a small wire and plugged the pair of glasses to the wire and flipped a few switches. "nao, I am about to pull out your x-rays, are you comfortable with Ash seeing them? " he asked. Jacob merely frowned at it, before replying " suuure, i doubt you have them, though. " he replied. Jedidiah shrugged and walked over to a panel, before hitting a button to turn it on, before hitting a few more buttons to reveal shots of both the arm and the wing pre surgery, all from the perspective and angle Jedidiah was looking from. . .
the arm looked as if someone broke it, before breaking it again, the smaller mid piece of the bone was way out of place, while the two other bones where they had broke, were adjacent to eachother. .the wing on the other hand appeared to be a pure simple and clean break. . . "so, these are the breaks on your wing and your arm. . . with your wing, although it was a clean break, if it healed at an off angle, that would effect your ability to fly, your arm haoever broke into three pieces. ." he explained as he pointed them out.
he waited for Jacob to get a good look at the bones before hitting a few more buttons to reveal post op shots of the same bones, this time with metal pins inside of them, the bones, realined. . . ." this is what the two look like nao. . . hopefully, the bones will set long enough to heal on their own. given the time it will take, depending on your natural rate of healing, age, the bones should be healed in 6-12 weeks. . " he explained . . .nao he will have to report this to the police. . write down name, date, what the patient told him, and hopefully they will be able to track down the people who shot at Mr. Qiang. "so, any questions?"
"will I be allowed to shift? " Jacob asked
"I would advise against it while you are wearing the casts. . ."he replied.

Ash tried not to flinch as he watched the procedure, still trying his best to remain a comforting presence despite his own discomfort. He was glad when both wounds were wrapped and covered, out of sight and hopefully in the process of healing. He watched, somewhat blankly, while Doktar Jeddy made images appear on a glass pane - speaking all the while. The black and white and gray images made little sense to him at first, but after looking at them for a few moments he realized they were the bones in Jacob's arm and wing. What strange magic.
He kept quiet while Jacob and Doktar Jeddy spoke, listening but not comprehending, leaning lightly against Jacob's good shoulder. When the other made to move, he stepped back, moving a bit away to give the other space. "[It is fixed now? See, everything is fine.]"
Ash was a little overwhelmed with everything, but he still smiled and inclined his head to the other shifter. He wanted out of this room that smelled of chemicals and blood, wanted a few moments to regather his thoughts. But he waited here, unsure if he could leave, or if he should stay with Jacob...

Jedidiah:
they spoke with eachother, continuing with questions and answers, before he made the call to the authorities. . . he spoke with the officer on the phone before they concluded the call. . the nurse then gestured for Jacob to go and wait in the nurses station with the nurse while the officer comes to speak with the victim, before Jedidiah ushered the three out of the room, removing the glasses and left the room, himself. . .meanwhile, one of the staff members then entered the room to go and clean the exam room up. . .it wasnt meant to deal with surgeries. . . . the doctor then lead Ash to his office once more, that was right across from the nurses station, so neither of the two are truly broken out of sight. . .looking at Ash, as he then patted the lad on the shoulder. before removing the scrubs off of himself, and placing them in a laundry bin, revealing he was wearing his other clothing underneath, minus his coat that hung in the office.
he wrote down a report, writing out the case, before filing it, and awaiting for the police to arrive before putting his coat on, he spoke with the police, exchanging numbers, before looking to Ash. "alright, ready to head out? " he asked. he then picked the three boxes up, and waited for ash to grab the box he carried here so they can head to his house. . . much more homely then the hospital or the clinic. . . the clinic in this situation . . not a gentle way to introduce someone to a city. . .

Ash caught at Jacob's elbow a moment when he moved to leave, a little loathe to be parted from the one person who understood him - or at least, sort of understood him. But it was only a moment, then he took his hands back to himself and instead murmured good luck, inclining his head to the other shifter. He stayed in the room with Doktar Jeddy, fidgeting now and then in his corner. When other people came into the room, he self-consciously shifted back down to his softer form, making himself smaller, more out of the way.
Losing the weight of his wings, his scales, Ash staggered slightly, suddenly feeling tired. When Doktar Jeddy gestured for him to follow, he did so without really thinking, trudging after the giant man. He followed him back to the room that he had first been brought to, stood a moment uncertainly, then on seeing Doktar Jeddy remove his odd garb, he did the same - peeling the tattered gloves off his hands, and shrugging out of the other somewhat stretched and ripped garment.
While Doktar Jeddy wrote and did things, Ash settled on the floor, sitting in a sort of crouch and leaning against the wall. He didn't doze, the scent here was too strange for him to relax enough for that, but he did rest a little, trying to make himself relax. He startled a little when he realized Doktar Jeddy was standing over him, had spoken. He blinked owlishly up at the giant man, mumbling: "Svabol jaka?"
After an uncertain moment, he pushed himself to his feet and brushed off, then following Doktar Jeddy's lead, he leaned down to pick up the box that he had carried earlier. As he followed the other out of the office, he glanced toward the room where Jacob had been - but now the door was closed. He was vaguely aware of when that had happened, that other humans had arrived, had gone inside and closed the door. He was a little worried, but still, he followed Doktar Jeddy out.

Jedidiah:
on the way out, he turned the lights off and locked the door to his office, before stopping by the nurses station on the way out to hand Mr. Qiang two cards; one to the clinic, and his personal number. "these two numbers are to the clinic, and my office number respectively, and this one is my personal number. if you have questions or concerns, do not hesitate to call myself or the clinic to set an appointment up. " he informed. Jacob simply nodded, before thanking Ash for the wish of luck. after which, Jedidiah then led Ash out of the door and started walking towards his house.
at first it seemed as though he was just heading into deeper woods, before a strange roof became more apparent. . as they would near, it was obvious there was a rather large house within the mountain side, mostly carved it, with a strange wedge like structure built above the house . . curved abit upwards while the point aimed uphill from the house. this strange wall that acted as a divider continued along the opening of the hole, stopping at the base of the first floor. . there was a similar wall built around the clinic aiming uphill as well- these were built in case of a mudslide or an avalanche. . .he wasn't aware of the mountains' record with these, but it cant hurt to be too cautious, especially with the helicopter landing site, in case things get too hairy in the mountains.
he set one of the boxes down freeing a hand so he could dig for his key, and unlock the door. . .before switching the light on and opening the door for Ash. . .
the inside was much more roomier on the inside then it appeared on the outside. . there was a second floor, then there was two more floors heading down. . . the lowest floor housing a generator . . the first room opened up to a kitchen on the right side of the house that appeared very open, with a counter being the divider between it and the living room, while there was another room with a closed door, and a room to the right with a slightly opened door, revealing it was a bathroom. . .

Ash trudged along after Jedidiah in his soft-skinned form, dragging his feet a little as he walked. He was tired still and he didn't know where they were going - he didn't know anything, he had to trust that the giant was taking him somewhere safe. He did realize that it might be foolish to place so much trust in someone he had just met but... he had little other option. He hoped it wouldn't turn around and bite him, in the end.
At first it seemed that Doktar Jeddy was leading him into the forest, but as they went further he realized there was another structure ahead. It almost seemed to blend into the trees and stone formations nearby, but it became more apparent the closer they got to it. It was a bit friendlier looking than the place they had just left, and he didn't smell anything especially offensive or chemical as he had in the last place - of course, he hadn't smelled anything too bad from outside there, either.
They stopped infront of a doorway and Ash shifted his hold on his box, wondering if he should set it down as Doktar Jeddy had. But then the man opened the door and did something to light the space, then gestured for him to go inside. He stepped in a bit tentatively, peering about uncertainly. There were a number of rooms past the entryway, arranged in a manner that looked more like a living space than the last place had, with cushions and chairs and books and things. He carried his box into what appeared to be the den and set it down carefully on a table before turning to explore a bit.

Jedidiah:
when Ash walked in, he picked the boxes he had set down and set them down inside of the house, before setting the other two boxes he had and closing the door, and locking it. . . safety first. . if Ash was going to be staying here, he will have to make him a set of keys for the front door. . . he removed his shoes at the front door, then placed them off to the side of the door, before tapping Ash's shoulder and pointing where his shoes were to indicate to remove his shoes at the front door as well "shoes go here" he informed. he waited for Ash to do this before showing him up stairs, where the bed rooms were. .
granted. . .he has never had anyone at any of his dwellings where ever he stayed at during his travels. . .he would always prepare as if he was going to finally be able to start a family or at least be able to house a few friends over, but people were normally afraid. . . .he was huge. . .well, if this guy hasn't ran away from him yet. . .perhaps he will finally be able to find a nice girl and start a family here. . or find folk who weren't scared of him. . .when they reached upstairs, his bedroom was normally locked- a habit he learned from staying in one too many apartments - but he gestured to Ash to look through the rooms. " Ash, go ahead and pick a room to sleep in. . " he stated. the other rooms were unlocked, no point in keeping every door locked, especially rooms like the bathroom - that was a mistake he learned quick to not do again.

Ash flinched a little when he was tapped, turning to look uncomprehendingly at Doktar Jeddy as he said... words and pointed at the foot-covers by the door. He merely stared for a long few moments before tentatively pulling his own off and putting them where the other man had indicated. He didn't really understand why the man wanted him to remove them when he had seemed to insist upon them before. Perhaps it was some sort of tradition?
Once that was dealt with, Doktar Jeddy gestured for him to follow and so he did, up a set of stairs to the second level of the building. He was shown a number of rooms, which the giant man seemed to indicate he should go into and examine. They were well furnished, but all had a largely uninhabited appearance - was he meant to choose one? None of them seemed much better than the other, and in the end he chose one to the eastern side of the building with a large window overlooking the trees outside. If he could get it open, he might be able to squeeze out of it in the event that he needed a quicker out.
"Svabol jaka?" He had said those words so many times tonight, it made him want to flatten his crest in embarassment. But he was still lost here. He realized it might be a little rude, however, and he clarified: "Keh, si jatil... vinxa ihk... ihk shalair ve ekess zexenuma tenpiswo. Si geou rigluin ekess ehtah vi idol ekess xikin wux." He bowed his head in a gesture of thanks, murmuring the words a little awkwardly. There were enough rooms it might as well be an inn, but... but still. He would need to find a means of repaying this man for helping him...

Jedidiah:
although Ash kept saying 'Svabol jaka' throughout the night, he still wasnt sure as to what it meant. . . every time Ash said it, it was in a question format. . .perhaps its one of the w question types- who what when where why- . . cant be who or when. . .where seemed to be a different format. . . so it was either a what or a why type question. . .perhaps it would be wise to answer as if it was a combined format? or answer for both until its clarified. . . "ahh. . go ahead and pick a room, you will need a place to sleep, and it would be easier then trying to figure out a place in a foreign land. if this is the room your picking, then its yours for nao. " he replied. . .he had forgotten of the window. . .awkward as it was in his own opinion. . .it kind of reminded him of a zoo exhibit since it was a bit of its own hole into wall of it to make the window . .he cant fault the guy for not wanting to be cooped up in a hole. . maybe hes more accustomed to living in a more open space then a cave. . .
he nodded and followed the lad in, when the window came into view, before gesturing towards the window. " here, let me show you hao to open it. " he stated. the curtains, as simple as they were- plain, tan color, and off to either side of the window to reveal it, he moved them more out of the way to reveal two lever like latches. . he use the certain hooks in the walls to move em out of the way, before moving the lever latches down, with some clanking of metal, before gesturing towards the handle at the bottom and lifting it open, pulling it towards him to show hao the window opened. . before he closed the window and moved the levers back up, causing two noticeable metallic clicks in the walls to lock the window back into place. then theres the glass itself -nano glass- something him and his father made while he was still at home. . . probably not a good idea to spook Ash by breaking the glass so he can watch the glass 'self repair' in real time -around 3-10 minutes depending on hao bad the break is- right nao. . .maybe later when ash understands more words along with learning some of ash's native tongue as well. doing that right nao would just be cruel. . . he then watched as the lad bowed towards him, saying something, before mumbling more words.
he patted Ash's shoulder " dont worry about it. " he asurred. he was normally greatful when others help him and they no speaky each-other's tongues. . . hes been in a similar situation as Ash. . well, sorta. . .besides, if it was to help someone get their feet under them, why not? giving the guy a chance to get his feet under him and on the ground would help him in the long run, instead of leaving him to run around in the wild or on the streets- that and lessen the spread of diseases that were otherwise avoidable. . before leaving the room, he when a head and showed Ash the latch on the inside of the room, gesturing to it before locking the door and trying to open it, before unlocking the door and opening it to show the latch's function. . a simple twist of it. . 12 o-clock position being the unlock, while the 3 o-clock position was the unlock. . when he stepped out of the room, it reminded him. . Ash might of not had anything to eat, has he? " Ash, are you hungry? I can make some food in the kitchen. " he offered before trying to gesture what he was talking about. " food. . good eats. in kitchen. I make."
hopefully he isnt as bad as a cook as his mother. . .

Ash made room for Doktar Jeddy as the larger man moved into the room and showed him how to open the window. He watched, making note of how the man adjusted the locks and then pushed it up. The crystal that it was made of looked weak - he knew that crystal window-covers were a thing humans used, 'though back in his home Eyrie they were usually only curtained off, though sometimes the curtains were especially heavy to keep out drafts when it was cold. He nodded to show that he understood Doktar Jeddy's demonstration, then stepped forward to prove it - a bit tentatively lowering the window again and locking it down in place, being careful not to harm the thin crystal panel.
He smiled up at Jeddy after, when the man patted his shoulder. The man then showed him how to lock the door, which was another thing that he was unused to doing, but he nodded understanding at the demonstration. Ash followed Doktar Jeddy back out of the room at the other's gesturing, although it took him a few moments to understand what the man was getting at until he gestured again, putting a hand to his own stomach and rubbing as if he were full.
"Kwi. Si geou sone, hak. Keh... Vinxa." He bowed his head again, then looked up to Doktar Jeddy. He wondered what the humans here ate. He would need to examine the food first, to make sure it smelled edible to him - it wouldn't be good to make himself sick! He would follow Doktar Jeddy back downstairs to the kitchen.

Jedidiah:
he nodded before leading Ash towards the kitchen, before going through and pulling out a recipe book, he paused for a moment, before wandering towards one of the boxes and pulling out a few of the children's books before going back towards the kitchen and setting them down. . .they had animals and farm animals in one of them, while vegetables in another he had the recipe book ready, before showing Ash the animal and veggie books. . ." do you eat meat? vegetables? or both? " he asked, pointing to the books as he asked. . .he then paused for a bit, before going towards the refrigerator. . pulling out a small tray of steak from the bottom shelf, and a broccoli bunch from one of the middle shelves. . before closing the door of the refrigerator and walking back over. . placing the tray of meat, wrapped in plastic next to the children's book with animals on it, then placing the broccoli bunch next to children's book with veggies on it. . . or rather, it was dubbed 'why i eat greens' or something of the sort. . .it does have plenty of pictures to go by. " meat, veggies, or both? " he asked, pointing to one, the other then to both choices.
