It was eight-o-clock and the eight-bit club was in full swing already. The DJ at the front, by the bar itself blasted loud 8-bit music through the speakers. Vars Bishop, Magician Extraordinaire, Travelling Master of Illusions, was predictably and steadily playing the pinball game Theatre of Magic. It was so cliché, he felt like he could probably take a picture of himself playing and put it on social media as a joke, but it was in fact, one of his favorite pinball games, and he didn’t need to cheat to be good at it. Vars was, by most considerations, a beautiful man. His long dark hair was well-kept, and flowed down to his mid-back. He had doe-like soft-eyes, and was wearing a simple and sleek silk suit today. He felt like a million dollars. It was a shame he wasn’t so wealthy. He picked up his strawberry daiquiri off the drink counter and took a deep sip, savoring the flavor. It was nice to be here.
It didn't even feel disappointing when his third ball went right down the center and disappeared again.
As he glanced over his shoulder, he saw a familiar figure at the far end of the bar. Casper. Well, whatever persona Casper was calling himself today anyways.
He waved at the Changeling, still a little distracted.

Today he was a man of middle-eastern appearance in his early forties with chin length curly hair, a neatly trimmed beard and what he considered a pretty cool hat. He wore a dark vest over a band shirt and comfortable jeans.
Casper waved back at Vars as he nursed a random drink he’d ordered out of awkwardness. An Electric Lemonade, it was sweet and tasty at least but did nothing for him. He carefully took it in hand, glancing around for signs of Gia. Drinks and well anything breakable were always in danger of being knocked down by the ghost. Unable to spot the spirit, he moved cheerfully towards his friend dark eyes shining as he smiled.
“Hi! Uh sometimes you have to jiggle the stick a little to the right… You’re usually way better, is everything okay?”
Casper just hoped he hadn’t overstepped his mark coming over, had his friend just wanted to be left alone?
