Eda settled back to watch the two men, her dark eyes glowing with interest. She wiped the blood from her mouth with the back of her hand. She had no reason to enter the fray, and she was in no real danger from the interloper who wanted some of her meal. If Niran got himself hurt, that was his own business, and eventually, no matter how injured, he’d heal.
She sat herself down on the log, rolling the man’s body idly under her foot, wondering how long he’d take to cool. He was already probably quite cold even before he died. What would being outside in the frigid air do to him?
She half-smiled, wondering how long it would take her to change out of her torn clothes and clean up. Hopefully not long, if she had anything to do with it.

Kail shied back from the blow, feeling a thrill of adrenaline at the near miss. He felt the rush of air past his stomach, felt a familiar bloodthirsty thrill, and snarled excitedly. Niran was much faster than he expected, almost matching his own speed, and that always made for an entertaining fight.
“Come on, put some heart into it.” Kail taunted, stalking a slow and provoking circle around Niran at a careful distance. “Let’s see those claws, kitty.”
The second he finished his sentence, he lunged, a brutal slash aimed for the others face. More to force him back than anything else. Kail wasn’t sure what he was, wasn’t sure what he was capable of, and wanted to gauge his abilities before grappling with him. He was hyper-aware of the vampire crouched at the edge of the clearing, but he didn’t so much as glance towards her for fear of her joining in.

The shifter's grin broadened as Kail shied back and he pulled his punch short, darting back a pace to begin to circle counter Kail's. Well, maybe this would be fun after all.
"Maybe if you show me yours first," he laughed, ducking under Kail's slash and sidestepping closer to aim another punch at wendigo's midsection. No claws and teeth, no knives either, just closed-fist blows. He was fast, and if he hit it would hurt although it was unlikely to cause much real damage. This was a game, not something serious - not yet at least. "Mm, maybe not. You worth the trouble, hunter?"
He didn't expect Eda to help him, but he did want to put on a bit of a show for her too. She could probably use the entertainment. He wasn't especially afraid of injury - unless it was especially severe it would heal fast enough.

Eda crossed one leg over the other, feeling like she, for all practical reasons, was a Roman Empress watching two gladiators do battle. Her eyes traveled over the two of them, amusement lingering on the edge of her lips. The newcomer was cunning and confident, but she knew Niran had skill and strength at his disposal.
She tapped her sharp nails along the edge of the log. The sound was satisfying.
She watched the first feinting blow, a gesture she knew well. A measure of strength. A test of foolishness in one. She smiled faintly. More blood would spill. All for the spectacle and the ego of man.

The second punch landed, and though Kail turned to miss the brunt of it, he could feel the raw strength behind the blow. Hard enough to bruise, and he hissed out an appreciate breath as he backed away, watching Niran with a new degree of attention.
He circled him again, just for show, and lunged again with a kick aimed at his legs, a shove to his shoulder. There was no feint backwards this time, just the desire to get him down.

Niran was all grins as the wendigo circled him, his teeth bared white and sharp. He spun a slow circle, tracking Kail's progress, and when the wendigo lunged to strike him he stepped to the side, avoiding the other's shoving hands. He hadn't quite expected the kick - it didn't drop him as intended, but it did strike hard and true and he staggered, gasping. His stance shifted after the blow, he held himself lower and more guarded, and one hand strayed down to test his leg where it had been struck, as if it still pained him.
He wondered if Kail would fall for the facade - it was perhaps a bit much. Maybe he should have let the wendigo trip him - that would have gotten him in close as well. But this feint might do the trick of closing the distance between them - what predator would balk at the chance to strike down a wounded target?

Eda leaned forward. Her eyes were bright, sharp and cruel as she watched the two tangle. A blow here, a reversal there. These were two men who loved combat. Maybe it was even exciting to them, but she wondered, somewhere in the back of her mind, what they were fighting for.
If one of them won, what then?
If the stranger received the upper hand, she would undoubtedly have to join in. A pity. She did like a good, fair fight, if you could consider anything they did fair.
She crossed her legs, leaning back in the chair.

Kail was an opportunistic man through and through, and he took the bait and closed the distance. He lunged for Niran, going for a grapple, trying to hook his leg around Nirans to get him off-balance and on the ground, the other hand grabbing at the collar of his shirt.
The other would be heavier than him. Almost all of his opponents were. Normally he'd keep his distance, wearing him down slowly until he was injured enough to be dragged down for a torn throat. But it wasn't a fight to the death, and he figured he could get some good punches in if he managed to pin the other.

Niran let Kail close with him and go in for the grapple - leaned into it even, his hands coming up to grab fistfuls of the other man's jacket.
"Handsy, aren't we?" he chuckled as Kail's fist closed on the collar of his shirt. "At least buy me a drink first." He controlled his fall as Kail swept his legs out from under him, pulling the wendigo down with him. His grip in the other's jacket tightened and he tried to pull up his legs and kick, intending to throw the other off or at least switch their positions.

Jen clapped for the two of them as they fought, their bodies intertwining in a way that was almost erotic. Did they enjoy it? Did it bring them pleasure to fight like this?
She had the sense that they would have fought even if she wasn’t here at all. All the better.
“Oh. Putting on a show?”
The vampire had to admit that the sight of blood did inspire a certain kind of hunger in her, and she eyed the dead man again, but found him without appeal.

Kail’s nose wrinkled in a snarl, but all he did was laugh as they hit the ground. Winded by the fall and the kick, he lunged again for the man. He’d already closed the distance, there would be no point in trying to make space between them now.
He was going for an arm lock, with Nirans hands still clutching the front of his jacket, aiming to slam the back of his arm on his elbow joint to break his grip. He could always try to force him onto his stomach, if he could get the arm behind his back. There was a wiry, wild strength in his movements, and though he didn’t quite have the strength of the other it was clear he knew where to strike and pin.

Niran was certainly deriving some pleasure from this, the rush of adrenaline a thrill that set his heart pumping. He was barely aware of their audience, his focus all on Kail.
He did manage to kick the wendigo off of him, but Kail was back on him before he had a chance to get up. He found himself shoved down again, and he loosed a breathy laugh when Kail broke his grip and grabbed at his arms, trying to pin them. He didn't intend to let the other flip him - at least not without more of a fight. Still, he was on his back again, and for the moment Kail had his wrists.
"Well you caught me, now what? Gonna wipe the grin off my face?" He was still grinning - looked pleased as the cat that caught the canary. He was pretty sure he could reverse this, especially if Kail released one of his wrists to hit him.

Eda watched, her expression without concern. Niran was in no danger here. He could easily transform and fight back, and even if he was injured, he could regenerate and keep fighting. Their surprising resilience had always surprised her, and continued to make them useful to her.
He had even helped her pick off some of her vampire targets while she bided her time, looking for the most important. The biggest ones. The heavy hitters that would take all their efforts to down. It was all part of the plan, and she was excited. The wheels were in motion.

Kails pupils were blown wide as he caught the man’s wrist, his expression teetering between a snarl and a grin. He’d completely forgotten the initial reason for the fight, the corpse, the vampire, though the hunger had stayed and it was all too apparent as he leant closer to Niran.
He was radiating aggression, excitement, and he could see that mirrored in the other man’s face. He looked a little too happy for someone pinned, and his grip tightened imperceptibly when he spoke.
“Fuck yeah I am.” He said, breathlessly, and released Nirans wrist so he could aim a solid punch for his face.

Niran laughed at Kail's answer, certainly too pleased with the situation. And then he took the blow to the face, his head snapping to the side with the force of it. The grin he turned back up toward Kail after was a little too wide, blood on his teeth from a split lip - there was something wrong with the expression, his lips stretching a little too wide and his eyeteeth sharper, more like fangs. Another punch saw his head snap to the other side, but when Kail drew back for a third Niran bucked under Kail to throw him forward and knock him off balance. He surged up with the movement, grabbing at Kail's neck and the collar or his jacket with his free hand and rolling them both to the side with the intent to switch their positions.
"My turn~" His voice was something between a growl and a purr, and his nails pricked the skin of Kail's throat as he gripped it, sharp and wickedly curved. An implied threat that he didn't seem inclined to act on, though his grip was tight enough to bruise. He licked the blood from his lips as he brought his other hand up to return the punch to the face.
