Far more relaxed than downtown proper, the ‘burbs are filled with large parks, lots of trees, and fashionable houses (some of which even have white picket fences!). It’s pretty chill around here, but a good adventure can still be found if one looks in the right places.

The strongest attraction is probably the local shopping mall, which offers all sorts of eccentric products and personalities to gawk at.

The fringes of the city where it fades into surrounding wilderness, speckled with lower-income suburbs and the aging, forgotten structures of the city's industrial history. Said to be home to all manner of ghosts and spooks, so watch your back...

A date night destination and shopping experience, Wathais's waterfront boasts a seamless interaction between inside and outdoors as open-fronted buildings face directly onto Lake Sommut. It is commonly the site of festivals, markets, fireworks displays, concerts, spontaneous celebrations, and other high-energy gatherings that dominate its stone docks and leisure parks. It is also home to the Wathais' fish market, making it a place full of people day and night.

Wathais is sheltered in the shadow of a vast mountain range called the Jagged Tooth, these three volcanic monoliths protect the valley below from harsher climate. Cold and brooding, the mountains call to intrepid explorers, and the craggy rocks and snowy peaks offer plenty of challenges in the way of hikes.

Not everyone returns from their forays into the mountains however, leading to local legends about beasts, or worse, living there…

The valley itself is half underwater, with the city built up around the perimeter of Lake Sommut. The lake provides a source of much entertainment in the area, including swimming, waterskiing, and sunbathing.

It’s said that the deep, dark waters hold something that is normally found in Scottish lochs, but no one has been able to prove anything one way or another.

Just on the other side of Jagged Tooth is the coastline, where the ocean meets the mainland. While Wathais itself is more inland, this area is still considered part of the greater Wathais reqion, and thus the WDSA's responsibility. There's a large boardwalk here for merriment and recreation, as well as a harbor for ships of all shapes and sizes.
