zavijah:
"a young one, it retains its former shape mostly. " she replied, before having stepped out with the 'toy'.
Just as the shadowy figure lunged, the golem leaped, ran across its extended tendril as if it were living, before leaping off and landing apon the ground. "Ah. . . you view this toy as your new power? Perhaps you may have at it . . . If you can relinquish it from my maw. " she mused, she could hear the darken phantom screeching at her about the animal stealing what belonged to it. . . . running along its limb did seem to startle it. . .gives her an advantage. . .Ho, it was enraged.
hmm . . . the soul seemed rather. . .familiar. "Ah, you were the failed attempt apon becoming a lich, were you? " she noted. . .that comment receive a very violent lunge. Dodged. ". . .such vile words. . . no wonder you were familiar. . "
The hunter may notice something of note in the golem's behavior. . .when it speaks, its calmer, and the eyes hold a distinctive grey sheen to them. otherwise, the eyes were darker, it was more animal like, and much more sporadic.
It was comparable to a weasel for how squirmy and evasive this golem was. . . . It amused her how hellbent this rather recently dead being was amendment about obtaining the doll. She kept an eye on the situation but allowed the golem to move on its own to avoid attacks or grabs. . The Hunter was avoided as well. . .more or less, she did not want him to be seen as a target of the shade. . .if he has hold of the bait, he may very well be ensnared by the spirit lunging after her. She did not want Hunter Casmir to become its host, nor the beginning of the collection. . .
"You wish for ownership of this trinket? Have at thee!" She aimed to take them to the much more open space within this homestead the golem encountered. More space, less foreign energy she was not familiar with. . .less trinkets to stir into awakening. She could feel its ire locked onto her, this spirit was pissed and after the golem(her), after the toy. . .
Good.

As Zavijah's diminutive golem alighted past the Deformed's shadowy limb, it hurled a few choice taunts at the creature, which seemed to swell like a bloated mire bubble, surging after it. It slithered past Casmir, crashing into the door across the hallway, and careened after the bird-like thing that had the stuffed rabbit clutched in its beak.
"You damned brownie!" Casmir growled as he followed after. "I told you we weren't supposed to do this, here!" He caught sight of the shadowy mass throwing its weight around, trying to snatch the little birdling from where it was playing it's game of keep-away in the living room of the Bunker. While this was certainly a much safer venue than the Djinn's personal quarters, it was still probably not a good idea to have a fight with a malevolent spiritual entity inside a house that wasn't there.
Casmir watched the thing leap for Zavi's golem, and - with a brief delay and a look of concentration on his face - the Hunter swept his arm upward, rods of shadow pummeling the abomination skyward like a dozen jabs delivered in the blink of an eye. Before the creature fell back down to the ground, the blonde used his shadow manipulation powers to bind it to the ceiling. For a moment, it seemed like it'd work, however the Deformed's shape wriggled and writhed, before its ichorous form squelched out from the clamps used to restrain it, swirling down Casmir's shadows and sweeping its dark claws down towards him.

zavijah:
She skidded to a stop as she felt energy whiff overhead. . . the spirit had moved from targeting her, to the human. . . The golem's face contorted into a grimace . . this was not optimal. Hunter Casmir did have the shadow magic from the enemy's fortress, this should aid him, but for how long? She could try and defeather the golem to obtain things to throw at the spirit, though this would mean the golem will no longer be able to fly.
"Oi, Spirit, art thou distracted by shadow tricks so easily?" she called, now facing where it and the hunter fought. "If thy wishes of this toy to belong to me, do continue loosing your focus and prize to the hunter."
If he is injured by the deformed, she will have to 'steal' his injuries when he leaves. . .less he wishes to become another deformed. . .something else then catches her eyes, but not through the golem's eyes, causing her to draw her attention back into her own body; leaving the golem to act as it will. . . .

The abomination landed, surging towards Casmir. Shadowy claws lanced out, striking past him, the Hunter's keen eyesight and quicker reflexes the only thing that saved him from being skewered by an errant talon. Zavijah's golem jeered at it, trying to draw its attention back to the stuffed rabbit it had sought, like a horse chasing after a carrot on a stick. The deformity bristled in response, altering its attack pattern- its limbs ballooned out like swollen cords of rope, slamming down furiously in an effort to squash the blonde against the floor, or swipe the bird away.
Casmir continued to successfully evade the blows, using the ambient darkness to reinforce his armor and buffer the blows he couldn't avoid. "Get the doll out!" He barked, deciding that it was too dangerous to keep it here. "We'll return it once we've cleared this thing-"
The Hunter cut off in a grunt as the thing grasped the hem of his cloak, whipping him around and tossing him against the opposite wall of the bunker's living room, hard enough to rattle a few things off their shelves. Not content to simply leave it there, the shadowy beast picked up the couch - the nearest, heaviest thing there - and smashed it against Casmir's body, hamming him down like a nail into plywood. His runic barrier weathered the blows, if only just, and when the monster ceased, he was buried under splintered wood and ruined cushion fabric, unable to move just yet from the beating he'd taken.
The deformity studied the mess it had made momentarily, before it turned its eyeless head to Zavijah's golem. It let out another wordless growl, crawling towards the construct and the prize it sought.

zavijah:
Either from being unaware of the happenings whist its master had control, or simply was not prepared. . . the strike at the golem caused the stone to yelp and stumble. . .a distinct crack resounding where even the swordsman could pick up apon it. .
As a battle raged on, the golem on its own, stood up and held its ground as the shade battered the hunter into the ground with the furnishing at hand. . .it hissed and growled non to dissimilar to that of a bird of prey. feathers and fur bristling at the now turned attention onto it. It side stepped slowly as it sized up the prey. . . . Assessing how large it was, when it crawled towards the golem at a hastened speed, the golem took flight, prancing along the wall closest to it in the attempt to leap to the behind the shade. .
Well in true, a worthy attempt for the young thing- twas not enough to evade the sudden grapple from the shade whist it lunged towards a flank. The golem hissed and flailed as the shade ripped the toy from its beak. . . . though once the toy was wrenched free of the golem, the trap, tightly grappled within the shade's grasp, triggered. As if a beartrap set, it latched onto the very soul of the being, before engulfing the both in a chaotic blue haze of fire like aura. .
The amount of energy stored burned as the trap further latched onto the aura and wrenched it further inside of the talisman hidden within the doll. . . at some point the golem was cast away as it writhed and attempted to pull away from the bottomless pit of a trap it had became ensnared within. The golem like a battered dog, painstakingly forced itself up, as if the concept of 'pain' was discovered. . . learned. . .before it pitifully limped its fractured form towards the pile of wood and fabric. . . the damaged hindleg dragging listly behind as the damaged wing stuttered. . tucked away like a child attempting to hide a paper-cut away from any further harm. . .
Should the golem reach the pile, it will start to attempt to remove debris away from the hunter. Picking at the small things with ease, but large things? not so much, all in attempt to find the first adult it awoke to since it could not see master.

The wounded construct began to scrounge through the debris, dragging whatever it could manage to clutch in its beak away from the pile. After a few moments, however, the larger portions near the top exploded outwards, shoved aside by a writhing mass of tentacles. Casmir, coughing fitfully, staggered to his feet, clutching the side of his head where a lucky blow had struck him, staining his skin crimson to match his eye.
Those eyes, wild and roving for threats, fell upon the small form of the bird next to the ruined sofa. He blinked, his battle-high diminishing, as he realized the shadow creature was gone. "What happened?" he asked, getting down to his knees with a wince- his ribs felt tender after having been clobbered by the rather heavy upholstery. "Where'd the creature go? And where's the rabbit?"

zavijah:
She glanced back before returning to the matter at hand. . . the trap hath been set. . .Good. One less thing to worry of. Now the question of if the hunter was still alive or not. . .last she recall, he was calling attention to himself before she tried to take this attention back. . . "Giellan, behlidan mec.(Giellan, cover over me.)" She ordered. She dug among her belongings to start making a mixture. . . The golem, she wondered if it was destroyed. . . . if it was damaged, typically. . it would of returned, if it could. . . .
The golem jumped at the explosion of dibris before carefully padding pitifully towards the hunter as ripped his head from one point of the room to another, seeking his quarry. From Casmir's perspective, there was a rather nasty crack across its back hindering one of the wings from extending, a crack across its face and over an eye, and some along the ankle of its hind leg, although not as prominent, looked painful from how the little padded foot quivered. where the eye was was no longer a carved bead of stone, but now a glow. The glow along with the in tact eye moved in unison as though it was a living being. Blood quietly leaked and beaded from these part.
The golem awaited for him to finish asking his questions, though it could not help but glance to his side when he winced. . . the wound on his head also deeply worried the golem. ". . .I woke up. . I wasn't here earlier, but I here now. " the golem replied. The voice did not resemble the swordsman in any capacity. Sounded too new, naive, scared. "Master said the veil shall falter once the trap hath its prey, though I can't hear her anymore. " The voice fretted. "oooh. . . your hurt, we need to get you to master, she didn't want it striking you, less you become as it was. She can fix before too late. D-did it hit you with its form? " The golem started before something caused its feathers and fur to bristle. . . it turned around, head snapping towards a small figure started to rise, as if standing up. . .well, tried to. The golem hissed at it like a typically angry or fearful bird of prey.
The toy rabbit looked very off from the shear amount of energy spent forcing the shade in, and continued to do so. . . .the dyed surface seemed to have brunt and sloughed off, revealing a weave barely holding parts of it together. . . . shooting it would cause an explosion of fur and abit of dirt to explode from the area of impact, blowing off whatever limb it was closest to. . .
The shade inhaled what little magic was on the decoy before teleporting closer to strike, before the hole burning in its chest caused the trap talisman to fall out of the doll, causing it to fall over. . . and the shade to be inhaled into the greedy pebble. The distance covered was hardly a greedy step or two forward. Though through its inhalation of what little magic of the djinn was within it, would reveal to the crimson eye that this was not the real one.
It looked as though it was carved to appear as a screaming bear skull, no larger than a vial of ink. . . .where it can easily be concealed within a gripped hand. When it was done, it appeared as though the bear skull was now clutched onto a dark pearl. . . greedily biting down apon it as if it were mere moments from biting down. "I-i-it wants a host before the sun comes. " the golem noted through its fearful hisses at it. . .what even is a host? What is a sun?
Should the doll be investigated, despite appearing old and worn as the original, the fur on the inside look fairly new- as if the rabbit was hunted this morning, rather than lifetimes ago. dirt sprinkled from the inside as well, what little got in from the wind blowing as it was created. The golem was shaking like a leaf, trying to stand between it and the hunter. . . .There was no danger, the golem was simply scared of the shade. The scary mass that put the first adult it saw under a pile of rubble.

Casmir frowned as he looked down at the pitiful creature, broken and chipped, yet still concerned over his wellbeing. Besides its manner, the golem's voice and syntax were completely different than they were, before, suggesting that Zavi was no longer "piloting" it. Unable to help himself, the Hunter bent down and carefully scooped the construct up- he was unfamiliar with the method of creation the brownie had used, so he wouldn't be able to do much for it... Perhaps his healing rune could undo the damage, but without being familiar enough with the way it was put together, Casmir doubted he'd be able to stitch it back together, and would just wind up wasting the valuable rune, instead.
"I'm curious how that thing slipped past your Master," Casmir commented offhandedly as he carefully stepped out of the pile of kindling that had once been a sofa, examining the state of the room. It wasn't as bad as it might have been, but it still wasn't pretty, either; signs of combat marred the walls and floors of the Ifrit's burrow, pools of ichor and smokey claw marks gouged into the nearby surfaces. Whatever it had touched was likely tainted and would need to be cleansed, otherwise it might corrupt the rest of the house.
'Can't leave this place like this...' Casmir thought with a grimace. He was not normally one to be too concerned with collateral damage, but then again he didn't usually engage in fights in people's homes. Perhaps he was being too soft, but the idea of simply leaving the bunker in this state didn't sit right with him.
The rabbit lying on the floor drew Casmir's eye- he saw, now that this had been some trick by Zavijah- the cotton inside the rabbit wasn't cotton at all, but soft fur and dirt. Another construct, made with some form of transmutation. That would explain why it could deceive Casmir's eye, then...
"Nevermind about that," Casmir stated, stepping away from the trap. Better to let the elfling deal with that. "I've got what I came for. I'll have to come back to patch this place up, later. Hopefully, before anyone notices it's had any visitors..."
He turned to the entrance, stepping back out into the forest and looking around for his erstwhile companion.

The little golem still shook, though did not resist to being carried. If anything, like a scared child, the golem merely tried to bury its fearful form into the arms of the one carrying it. When the adult asked about master, rather how the scary thing got past. . .Focusing on something else did help the wretched shaking somewhat. ". . . Master talked about its strange power. . .maybe using both that and what is left of its original self made the scary one too fast?" the golem offered. It could not see what master saw, but recalls what it thought was master speaking to it directly clearly.
Though this entire ordeal was confusing, it was scary, golem just wants to hide in nice adult's arms and not see scary ghost anymore. It has come to the conclusion that ghosts are scary, and this adult is nice. Though as scared as it was, it could not help but glance back to the adult's wounds. . ."What are you called?" the golem asked before seeming to pause for a moment. ". . aah. . .name, I think its called? I don't know but I think mine is Brownie. . . " Its tired form rested its head on his arm, looking up to him.
zavijah:
The retreat of those whom linger the shadows did not calm the mind. . .frowning, hopefully Hunter Casmir was done in his dealings. . . Finishing up the mixture, she rolled it and condensed it into a small ball, no larger than a 'bon bon' as they were called within that one store Sara had taken her to. She was putting the materials away save for the condensed mixture when her ear twitched at the sound of the hunter and another voice? Frowning at the question he asked in passing.
There was a pause as she turned her attention back towards the thicket, before hearing the two from behind approach. . . She merely moved to deactivate the snake talisman, becoming visible to the mortal eye once more. If they are going to be ambushed, better her, than Hunter Casmir. . . Seems they have completed what was needed, though now she was concerned with the golem and the hunter. . .The shade was still inside calling out and cursing at the two.
To Casmir's view, she would of suddenly appeared right where the hole in the ward was. . . . The Greatsword apon her back was horrifically ominous. . . as powerful as the swordsman seemed to be, this weapon dwarfed it. . . It also seemed as though she was bound to it in various places rather than the other way around, it seemed aware. . .Then there was the many. . many . . teeth floating around where the hole in the ward was. . . . glistening in the moonlight, they seemed to be made of jade, yet. . .
There were various kinds of teeth. . . many spieces of shark, whale, sabers, bear, canines, fangs of many snakes, tusks, and some that were definitely not from this realm yet meant for cutting, piercing or tearing, and many that it was not clear. . .8 disks like objects where among the teeth. The teeth seemed to circle around rather slowly yet ominously. . . . a wooden flat club with obvious trails long ways as well as places for the disks to sit was floating just infront of the swordsman. . . yet, non of the teeth seemed to touch the ward, rather avoid it. . . "Are both of you alright?" she called to the two leaving the homestead.
The swordsman turned to face the returning party, grimacing apon what was within the hunter's arms. . . It did remind her when the boys would run in with animals to ask if they could keep it as pets. . . But this did not negate the seriousness of the matter. . . She frowned apon seeing the bloodied wound apon the hunter's head. . .she awaited for the hunter to move out of the ward before offering the bon bon condensed mixture. " Hunter Casmir, I recommend you consume this. If that thing had struck you directly, there will be no telling until you form a fever. . . " It was red in color, rather small, though the smell was not something of any pleasantries.
If the young deformed was unable to 'infect' Hunter Casmir, the mixture would taste gummy, gross, kinda grainy, and all sorts of taste repulsed gross that screamed medicine. Though outside of such, Just tasting like garbage. If it did 'infect' him with its corruption, he would feel an wrack heat rise from the wounds like an hot iron being bashed across them, before that pain waned into a whimper. . . .more or less comparable to pouring alcohol on a wound in regards of actual damage inflicted in the process to the hunter. Such sensation coming and waning like a cramp dissipating after rudely awakening the body.
"The golem within your hands. . .I see It hath partially reincarnated. . ." she stated, moving to pull out her medical kit.
A wooden box full of primitive looking supplies.

"We're fine," Casmir replied, approaching the small woman through the underbrush. "You, meanwhile, have questionable taste in arms, Alchemist," he added, upon taking note of the rather wicked aura surrounding the sword hanging from Zavijah's back. It wasn't strictly a sense of malice that he gathered from the weapon, but it was disquieting, all the same; for all intents and purposes, the blade looked to have a mind of its own. Enchanted as it seemed to be, its wayward spirit was tethered to diminutive woman's, gnawing on it like a dog would a bone. Alongside the rather disturbing set of teeth and discs, the fur-clad halfling made for a rather macabre sight, and the Hunter had to remind himself to keep his blade sheathed.
Casmir turned his attention from the swordsman to the little ball she held out to him, examining it with a frown- the last thing he'd swallowed like this had been Stella's medicine ball, and while effective, the Walker's prescription hadn't been very palatable. An experience the blonde wasn't eager to relive so soon. Still, given the halfling's shrewd expression, Casmir could see he wasn't going to avoid taking any foul concoctions, today.
Taking the ball in his gloved hand, the scarred Hunter stuffed the ball into his mouth, blanching slightly at the taste- it was indeed foul, but he managed to swallow it, all the same.
"I think I'm going to need more than just sugar to chase that down..." Casmir muttered, more to himself than to her. He held "Brownie" out to the white-haired woman. "Your pet got himself injured playing decoy for that thing," he explained, nodding to the golem's wound. "He seems fine, if shaking, but either way he's the one that got torn open directly." He didn't bother explaining the state the Bunker was in, nor his desire to tend to it. He would, however, have to see to it that he brought along some proper wards to keep more of those things out during his return visit.

zavijah:
"I don't suggest regarding my weaponry. " she replied abit dismissively. She did not want the hunter to reguard the Greatsword more than he was already with that eye of his. She remained quiet as he spoke, until he mentioned sugar not being enough to chase something down. . .Abit odd, not a expression she was familiar with but given what she knows of what 'sugar' tasting like, perhaps it was the taste? . . if it were 'sweet' it may read more as a poison or a toxin rather than a remedy. . . may not be as effective, either.
"I asketh thou not be alarmed by the secondary effects should such occur. Its primary effects will render you rather immune to the corruption. least. . .tis harder for such to ensnare you. I would not recommend delving into a hoard of deformed." she explained, taking the golem in arms. . . The secondary effects may mimic her own ability to see auras, the ethereal and ghosts. . He may feel his very being being 'wrapped' by a foreign energy momentarily . . .like slipping into a sleeve. . . She did not want to deal with the hunter turning into a deformed. . Though she was relived to see he did not seem to complain about feeling a burning sensation, screaming, or writing in pain. . .
"I am glad your only complaint is the taste . . . such is the more preferable outcome." she nodded. Seeing he handed her the golem, she offered the med kit she was retrieving as well as a leather full of dried jerky. "The rations may help remove the taste from your mouth. . make it abit more bearable. . . I apologize, for the mixture is not pleasant all the same. " If he takes the med kit, she will move to set the golem down, if not, she will set it down before setting the golem down. Let him dig through her med kit at his own discretion. She carefully set the creature down, the golem whom was looking up to the hunter, confused, now looked to the swordsman, leary. .
"Child. . .I am certain you hath realized who I am. . .Do you wish to live? To truly reincarnate? " she asked.
"but I alive?" it asked.
"not quite. . .your body is not built to be overtaken with life. It will be painful but I can alter it to where should you reincarnate into this body, you will not die of the body's failure. " she stated. "less you wish to become a golem once more. . "
Casmir may noticed at first his vision hazed abit. . .as if he was being effected with poison before the view readjusted. That ghosts and auras were becoming abit more clearer. . . not with the red eye but his natural eye, Some folks clearly dead, having fatal wounds, yet walking aimlessly. . almost as if they stumbled apon a zombie set for a movie. as vivid as some of these beings were, yet they seemed to avoid the ward and where they were. . . . the ones whom were alive seemed to have chains seemingly tucked neatly into their chest. . including himself. . the golem seemed to have at one point been connected to the swordsman. . .yet it was forming a chain. . . and it seemed to slowly latch or was in the process of latching onto the body it inhabited. . .
"what happens if I golem?" it tilted its head.
"you die. you would be as you were but this you will no longer be. Life is freedom, you may see many wonders, but you must be prepared for its horrors. . . Becoming a golem once more, you will feel no pain, but you will leave all. " she explained. "Even him?" it asked. . . "But he kind. .and hurt. "
The Greatsword itself, seemed abit more ominous. . .there were no visible eyes, but there was a more felt notion it was looking at him. . . watching him, even for a moment, before the blade's attention was brought to a different matter. . . an ominous ancient pressure. . .the chains latched between swordsman and the Greatsword were far more clearer. . . the chains looked heavy, painful, yet it seemed to be latched onto the swordsman. . .
". . . I will not force you to choose, but thou hath little time. . ." she stated. "Your life may be harder, for you were once me. . . "
"I. . " the golem glanced between the swordsman and the hunter. . . it didn't even get a chance to learn the nice adult's name! And it may have to leave him?!. . This upset the golem "Brownie" rather deeply. . . Sure, it was scared of this talk of death, and scary things, but it. . .But the nice adult carried it despite being hurt! took it away from the scary darkness that verbally lashed out at the both of them. . . But what if the adult becomes lonely?. . .What if the scary thing comes back?
"I want live. " it susurrated. It was scared, seeing the dark scary shadow was the first thing it experienced, but it didn't want to leave what it perceived as a new friend alone.
"Then fight to live, child. . . Fight hard and never yield. . . " she declared. Grabbing her right hand as it grabbed the chunks of the parental jade the talisman was carved from. . . Casmir would notice the fire like mass seaming to shift in flow within her right hand. . . It was thick, yet fire like. . . But in the same note. The aura seemed to change in nature. . Yet it also seemed to flow in a specific pattern. Portions disappearing and reappearing into the molasses like thick aura within her arm.
Blood dripped from her right hand before she grasped the golem. . . she had used that very same aura to cut her hand. . . "éðm (breathe)" she demanded. The golem looked confused before pain ripped across its body. It convulsed, in part from the shear amount of energy ripping through and changing the inside of the golem, yet, that same energy seemed to trap the soul inside further. . . The body seemed to glow in a fiery amber orange. Save the injury over the eye, that more or less scarred over, the cracks, breaks and fractures melded whole once more, before she quietly pulled her hand away. . . .The color slowly fading back to the blacks, greens, browns, oranges, and reds it was prior. . . From what Casmir may be able to see, considering this avian creature was thrashing as though it was being brutally murdered. . . it was melting, compressing, and carving into the formally solid body. . .
Should the golem be touched, it was heated, but not scalding. . . .and a heartbeat was suddenly noticeable. . . that little new thrum was pounding fiercely. at a final shutter. . . the golem finally took its first breath, before curling up, everything hurt. . yet due to the nature of the stone, should a light be shown through, the muscles, nerves, bones, digestive system, organs, even its immune and other systems and organs were now moving as if this was a living animal. The chain had progressed to where it could latch onto the body. . but the last link was still forming. . . only time will tell if such succeeds or not. ". . .It should be able to be effected to things that would normally effect living beings. . . should it truly reincarnate; this child will be no different than a being made of stone with magic. . " she explained. She seemed to grab her arm once more, the aura shifted within rather violently, before she moved to grab a wrap from her own kit to wrap her hand. . .

"Duly noted," Casmir replied with regards to the potion's primary affects, taking a moment to consider Zavijah; her mannerisms reminded him a bit of Falkner's- the weight of age that her words carried, the patient way she explained concepts a being like the golem couldn't possibly hope to understand, and the gentle manner with which she did all of it. It struck him with a twinge of heartache, which quickly gave way to an oily sense of ire.
Casmir took a rather aggressive bite of the jerky to try and scourge the foul taste of the potion from his mouth. While it didn't exactly help much, it was still better than nothing, and the Hunter found himself with a bit of an appetite after all that excitement. He opened the med-kit, rifling through its contents for a moment to tend to his wounds, when a strange sense of... detachment struck him, as if he were seeing his body's movements, rather than making them himself.
It was disorienting, to say the least.
As he attempted to assert control back over his body, Casmir was perturbed to see an aura humming around Zavijah's figure, points of light flickering around her almost like fireflies. It wasn't the sight itself which bothered him, but rather that he was currently looking at the halfling out of his left eye, rather than his right.
'What is this?' Casmir looked down at his own hand in dumb shock; it seemed to pulse with its own ambient energy, weak though it was. It felt strange, as though he was looking out of both eyes again for the first time he could remember. He'd lost his eye ten years ago, and even though the Eye of Ahura had given him that lost sight back, it wasn't "complete," thanks to things the relic showed him.
Just then, the Hunter saw the small woman strike her golem with what looked like a ball of molten fire, causing it to shriek and writhe. "Hey!" he barked, confused and angry, stepping forward to intercede, only to overbalance and fall to his knees, his head spinning.

zavijah:
The swordsman glanced towards where the hunter had stumbled after having barked at her and ignoring him; in favor of not being distracted and horrifically injuring the golem in the process. She studied how he seemed to hold himself, how rather dazed he behaved before it clicked. . . . She sighed and moved to pick the little quivering body up. . .
She carefully tested the reaction of the limbs, looked over the work done, before petting the small former golem along the back; where the same creatures typically had pressure points along the sides of the neck and where the birds ears would be akin to scratching a dogs ears and causing the dog to lean into such comforting gestures.
Brownie did seem to calm, curling around her arm as if doing so will lessen the pain and the fear. . She wished she could do more to lessen the pain of suddenly obtaining the sensation of touch. The sudden sensation of a functional nervous system was never a fond feeling.
When it seemed the former golem "Brownie's " body had cooled down enough, she walked over towards Casmir. "Take deep breaths." she spoke, not necessarily just to Brownie, but to both. . . . She took the opportunity to carefully place the golem within the hunter's arm and hand, one hand guiding one of the hunter's hands up to carry the small breathing body. . . where his hand would be at Brownie's chest. . . . She was careful as to not simply grapple his arm, but rather push it upward from under the arm. . she made no moves for any weaponry nor items. . . She only attempted to keep the back of her hand where it touched the least likely hiding spot for weaponry. Assuming the hunter was as cautious or paranoid as she.
She did this so that the hunter could feel Brownie's heart beat for the first time. . .feel its first breaths, as forced as they felt. . It felt like Brownie was attempting to take deep breaths. It was obvious the hunter had developed some form of attachment to the former golem. . .just as it was obvious Brownie seemed to feel safe in his presence. . .
"The dizziness will subside long before the secondary effects will. . .focus on your senses. Focus apon your touch and your breathing. " she continued. . Brownie's little body curled up around the hunter's arm. As if trying to hide his face into either the chest or palm of the first adult whom took him away from the scary bad. . . the glow that had replaced the missing eye was still present where the vacancy exists. The eye and how it is formed would both take too long, and of all was too complicated. . .making an practically perfect copy of the previous eye, or even creating a near perfect mirror copy of the other eye, would be too risky. She did not want to risk killing the child, nor cause it blindness in both eyes in order to give it another eye.
It did not help the feeling there were auras lurking within the shadows of the thicket.
Should the hunter look around, ambient aura. . like a mist of energy, seemed to be breathed in and out of the ground, trees and the air around them. . . like being within an ocean, and seeing the plankton shift about. Or the mist within a gently windy day as it swirls ever so casually around them. It was subtle, but present. The ghosts were either not aware, or simply did not care. . .

Casmir tensed at the halfling's touch, though when it was apparent the swordsman was only guiding his arm up to cradle the construct, his anxiety eased. Upon feeling the bird's heartbeat, his eyes widened in shock.
'Interesting...' Mahu observed, his disembodied voice denoting interest. 'She crafts with ka. The creature is not truly alive, but neither is it merely a being of mud and clay, any longer.'
Indeed, the warmth and the pulse of a heartbeat suggested that the golem had "graduated" into a full homunculus. He'd never heard of such a thing, before, not any of his apocrypha or first-hand accounts with other golemancers. In fact, the only time he'd seen something this remarkable was the boy in the dress from the church.
"You seem rather well-studied..." the Hunter mused, once he'd managed to re-center himself. It hadn't taken very long; while he was often impatient when it came to dealing with others, Casmir was more in his element in the wild. In order to properly track targets, he had to let himself become one with the environment, and that was just as much a psychological affair as a physical one.
He took notice of the way Zavijah was eyeing their surroundings, while affecting a placid exterior. It took a moment, but he felt it, as well- genuinely felt the presence of something that shouldn't be there, more than simply having the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end. Another courtesy of the potion he'd been given, no doubt. "Friends of yours?" he asked, carefully nestling "Brownie" close to his breast as he stood, doing what he could to keep from giving off the wrong impression to whatever was lurking out there in the underbrush.

zavijah:
The swordsman gave the hunter some space. . .when it seemed he was already attempting to center himself. . .ground himself into the present. . .rather impressive such things hath yet been lost to time. . . Perhaps he too was housed at one point within a temple? Though such musings can stand to await when the unwanted guests hath either been dealt with or lost among the wilderness.
Standing abit closer to the paddle like blade as to prepare herself. . .her ear twitched to the hunter speaking up. " . . . I merely re arranged his body to house the same muscles, bones, nerves, organs . . .to be the same as the naturally born counterpart. . . The body as it was prior was not suitable for life. . this-" she loosely gestured at the swirling mist like energy churning around the two like plankton within an ocean. "- will determine if he becomes truly alive. The majority of the last link hath been forged. . . This will either continue this. . . Or not. . . What severed the line of life energy linking the two of us left it to what forces caused him to be . . .it deemed him as his own being. . .I merely acted to remove what would of twarted this. " She replied. There was enough life energy- enough of a portion of her soul- to condense and become a life of its own.
Though it became appearent to her even the hunter picked up on the Malicious presence that hath wandered into the thicket. . .
Friends?. . . Friends tend to stab one in the back with ease. . . These presences are not her allies either. . .those she does have. These beings were stalking. . .lurking. " . . . They may strike the moment I relent this barrier. . . . I suggest you prepare . . . Keep Brownie on you. . . Either hide him within your coat or have him hold on. . . He is safer with you than with I. " she quietly replied.
