For Sarkany, the change was less noticeable. There were small details of course - the swell of light and sound, the odd weight to his frame, invigorating rather than heavy, the relative height of the tables. But this was secondary to the massive shape that abruptly filled the clearing. He gaped at it in open astonishment, brows rising, ears angled back.
...Ears?
The objects in question pinned flat against his head as the queen swung her head around and snarled at him. Forget the ears - the teeth had his attention. He’d forgotten just how alarming the jaws of a Karag were when they were aimed at you. Sarkany raised his hands placatingly, retreating a pace.
“Easy therrre,” he tried to stay, and stopped, mortified by the mangled sounds spilling out of his mouth. Muzzle??
Claws had pushed out from his fingertips when his shoulders tensed. Sarkany filed this extra detail to a peripheral corner of his mind. The karag’s eyes and pelt and, most of all, its position in the clearing were near identical to Viktoria’s. Impossible as it was, he knew a second shape when he saw it. He gave her a cautious little wave. The gesture seemed somewhere between ‘hello’ and ‘help.’
“Hkoma?”
The hunter’s speech felt much more natural to his jaws. Sarkany touched a paw-like hand to his muzzle, feeling along it, lowering his hand to examine the retractable claws. They ducked back into his fingertips like nervous prey, seemingly beyond his control.
“Yakhse...” he muttered, noticing the wolf. “Can any of you change back?”
That was what he tried to say, at least. This muzzle talk was going to take some work.

Ru tried, at least, as much as he could manage, but...nothing happened. His tail curled between his legs and he made a soft whining sound, which seemed to indicate 'no.' For him, it was even worse than just transforming into a beast, because at least then, he could still communicate.
He made a whining sound at the two of the others, and then realized, they had become monsters too. Well, more monsters than him. What were they now? He didn't know, but he imagined more creatures he had never witnessed or imagined. That's wonderful. And the little sprite did it all? These creatures must be immensely powerful.
He made a soft huff sound and then lay down on the ground. At least now, he could potentially awaken this part of himself? He had done it before, and he could do it again...Maybe. He tried to figure out what they were. Dragon and...uh...catman? Tatzelwyrm? He would have to ask them.
Maybe it would be like becoming a bat. It just needed to be unlocked to discover its secrets.
"...Ruuuuu."
At least he could say his own name.

"Hkoma?"
At the questioning use of her nickname, Viktoria's snarl faded, replaced by a toothy look of confusion and a slightly tilted head. She extended her new muzzle, took a tentative step forward while trying to figure out six-limb movement and sniffed at the Terrine in front of her. Though the scent was undoubtedly that of her species, the underlying notes spoke of Sarkany. Not only that, no Terrine she knew would have been placating, or retreated even in the face of... what, what even was she now? The Russian began too look at herself, recognising the relative shape of her friend's Icarim form even if her body also had some marked differences. Her legs, for starters, were far more sturdy than his had been. She didn't have his mane either, far as she could tell. At a high-pitched sound, one eye regarded the whining wolf nearby, occupying the space she was sure Ru had been (it was harder to tell, now she was so much bigger), before her attention finally settled on the giggling child-creature clambering onto her new tail. "Kitty got big!" The Karag blinked, momentarily stunned by the entire scenario. Just trying to figure out how to move her new limbs was taking up a lot of brain space, never mind the differences in weight, vision and olfactory senses.
In the time it took her to gather herself, the creature had somehow covered the distance to Sarkany, staring in wonder at his face and ears. "And you're a different colour kitty! Pretty markings." A sensation like flowing water, a leaf on the wind and suddenly the child was crouched beside Ru, a slight pout on their face. "Why you cry? Thought you wanted wolf? Why cry? No cry."
Meanwhile, Viktoria returned her attention to Sarkany, continuing to stand stock still; partially because she was getting ready to try moving her muscles, partially because she was aware she might crush her companions accidentally, given the size of her. She opened her jaws and decided to adopt the hunter's speech in the first instance, knowing full well how difficult Sarkany found human word construction while in his bestial shape. She found the sounds came easy, this new muzzle wasn't all that dissimilar to her own, but the depth and volume of her new 'voice' was quite incredible. [ Would not know how to change back even if I could.. I've not... encountered this before. Never had another shape than my own. What even am I? ] Viktoria managed to lift a leg, finding herself rather stable, despite the circumstances. As she inspected the claws, she found it odd that they could not be retracted beneath her skin. Her tongue too, felt odd as she spoke and for a moment she poked around the inside of her mouth with it. Her fangs, at least, were still nice and sharp. [ You are one of my kind, ] She continued to Sarkany, But I don't look exactly like your shape. Bigger, am I not? ]

[ You’re a Karag queen - a female,] Sarkany said, as though this were the most natural thing in the world. [ Larger breed, larger gender. ]
He tipped his head then, looking her over again. Was it just his imagination, or was Viktoria on the small side? He looked from the queen to the wolf and back again, noting the size difference.
[ Although, you’re smaller than I thought. ] His lips peeled back in a jagged, multi-rowed grin.
[ Why, Hkoma. ] The “ah” trailed with a playful edge. [ You’re not much larger than me by Terrine standards, are you? And here I always thought you were a giant. ]
To the wolf, he translated in an intentionally audible aside, like a teasing sibling: “She’s just a little girrrl.”

Ru was not sure what was more confusing; that they were all taking being transformed into monsters in stride, or that this creature had such power over them. A joke. After taking a moment to process Sarkany's joke, he decided to take a page from his new mentor's book, and he focused on relaxing.
Relax, relax, breathe easy
Ru stopped trying to speak, and focused on the other two. What was really happening here? Was she going to turn them back when she was done? She had to, the others didn't seem worried. If she really was their friend, then, when she was done having fun, they would all turn back, no damage done.
"... R.Ruh."
Ru tried to say that he was scared, but the words didn't form with his wolf mouth. Instead his tongue bunched in his mouth and he almost bit it. That wasn't the way to speak. Instead, he focused with his mind, like he did with other vampires.
I was scared, I did not control this transformation like I do the others, but maybe this will help me learn how to change.
He practiced walking, surprised by the stability of his four legs as he walked. He realized...he could smell really well with his new nose, and it was something he wanted to make happen. He wanted to know everything about them, and after he pushed his fear aside, he really, really wanted to know everything about them. He wandered close to the others and sniffed them.
What otherworldly smells. What were they really? Were they aliens? Or dragons? Some unknown mythological creature? They seemed powerful.
Ru sat down near to Sarkany and made a small whining sound, the white wolf's strangely blue eyes aglow with sudden, renewed interest.
Hey. Do you want to race?
He asked the newly-formed Terrine, his brush tail wagging.
